Lapdancers/Alcohol

That's a lot of money to dish out in one month, I had to pay the membership fee at the gym last month and that set me back 200 quid! Robbing Mofo's!

Shame you can't make it, but it's cool to have sweaty 20 something whore's grinding on your cock though! (I was the best man for one of my mates last year and we ended in a lap dance bar in Blackpool!)

But why stop at lapdancer's? Get your ass to Amsterdam and get some prostitute's and some wacky backy! I was their earlier in the year and you'll buzz your tit's off in the Red Light District, but make sure you have a lot of Euro's cos the porn ain't cheap! (And neither are the women if you know what I'm saying and I think you probably do! Chamone! ROFL /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif)

EVO2k4

You have any of you checked out the results?

Top 3 chars were

1. Shun (I can't quite recall the name but check the other thread on it)
2. Sarah (Shou)
3. Vanessa (Kurita)

Man, Shun and Vane in the top 3, never would have thought it!

I think Ryan Hart won the TTT tourney.

Don't think there's any media up yet but full results will follow soon I guess.

Re: EVO2k4

I know, SHUN 1st! and beautiful Sarah 2nd! About time a Sarah player got to a final of a tournie! With Vanessa 3rd I'm sure it must have been some major upset's. I'm assuming Ryan was 4th? That's still an amazing result IMHO. This is one of the main reason's I play VF, you never know which character's are destained to win tournament's (cough...Jin..tekken...cough). I better get my ass to the gym!

Mumblings from a Genius

Anyone see BB last night? How cruel to evict Stuart like that and they didn't even Boo him, Paah! Now I'm just praying Manbitch doesn't win, but I won't hold my breath! /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif Why is she so popular? She's the most annoying man/woman/it??? ever IMHO.

Anyone know of any good sites/places for a SC2 stick? Or another Namco? I'm starting to find diagonal's a bitch on mine at the moment and I need it for Dragon Cannon, DAMN IT! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif Should count myself lucky I don't use Akira, or I'd be well fucked!

Chris I was wondering will we be seeding player's in the warmup's next month? We'll have to see if we can keep some form of 'balance', although with group's, we'll be able to keep it in a 'football league' stylee, so it should work out fine. I'm just praying someone break's the Shaun/Andy stranglehold on the tournie, like Dan did last time! /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Mouth Watering

How much would one of those cost? Is it just for PS2?

Re: Mumblings from a Genius

On the topic of sticks, my buttons are starting to feel a little "funny" and not as responsive as before...plus the actual stick can mess up and stick in place sometimes. Makes dbpms from the p2 side a total bitch for me.

I'm planning to travel to Hong Kong next summer and if I do I'll be sure to stock up with a good stick or two.

As for the league stages, I'll just be allocating people to appropriate groups. Say we had 4 groups, it may look a little like this...

GROUP A

Shaun
_optimus_
Steev

GROUP B

Me
StalwartSamurai
Mye

GROUP C

Ade
Geewai_ho
etc...

GROUP D

Andy
Das
etc....

I mean I'd split up the bets 4 players into the separate groups, then the next and so on.

(btw I've just added some names there as example).

Also I wouldn't put people into groups where it was full of strong players or full of players who play one another all the time...

ie I WOULDN'T put me das or ade in the same group, or shaun and andy in the same group or all the london boys in the same group etc...

Re: Mouth Watering

Play asia do have sc2 sticks for about £25 though iirc. And the much sexier looking fighting stick two for only a little more.

Shipping from PA is rather expensive as these things go though

Only 45 quid?

I actually thought it would cost more than 45 quid. can you pay with Cheque's? I'll be honest, I'm a bit dubious about buying thing's of t'internet.

The group idea is sweet and seperating the 'wheat from the chaff' will allow as much leigh way as possible. Chris, do you REALISTICALLY think that there'll be more than 10 people? Don't get me wrong, I hope as many people as humanely possible make it, but it's better to be realistic than pretend.

Oh and in the Evo2K4 Result's, did any else notice that there was NO Akira, Jacky or Lion, RESULT! Yeah! The tides they are a-changin. And why does Ryan look like Andy Peters? ROFL.

Re: Only 45 quid?

Ade, paying by credit card over the net is perfectly safe. Switch/Maestro/etc is a little less so.

They don't appear to accept "checks" (foreigners eh?), though you could do a bank transfer by the looks of things. Bit awkward though. If you have a card, give it a go, I've bought a fair bit from play-asia in the past.

http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=22&products_id=5079& - liksang do it aswell.

No CC

I don't hve a credit card! Maybe I could use my dad's, I'll ask tonight (Doubt he'll let me though!). How long would it take to arrive and does someone have to sign for it, cos I work mon-fri and would only be able to wait around the house for a courier on a saturday.

Re: No CC

If you get the real arcade pro it gets sent via courier (too heavy for airmail) 2-4 days delivery I believe and yeah you'll have to sign for it.

You're also going to be paying about £30 for the courier so the price is realistically more like £75. (potentially more if you get hit up for good old customs.)

Still it is a very nice stick. I can't wait till mines arrives.

Hmm

So for around 75 quid, I might have to nip in the import games shop here in MC (In Chinatown, appropiately) to see if he can get one from there.

My Namco IS still workin, but I think a hori stick would be EVEN better. Ironic, consideing I have a hori stick for my Saturn (Yes, my Saturn!) which I got from London earlier in the year.

Is this Hori stick the best you can get, or are their better, cos If I'm gonna be spending 75 odd quid I might as well go the whole hog and get the BEST OF THE BEST (Whatever stick it may be!) and break the 100 quid barrier, cos it'll be worth it in the end. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: Hmm

Well it only came out last month so the reviews are still a little scarce. There is a thread on it in the console section but there's a better one over at SRK here

Opinions seem to be high, but I won't really know how much difference there is till I actually get my hands on it.

I really wanted a catch22 custom but he seems to have stopped that now, so I guess this will have to do.

I'll wait til u get it

I guess I'll wait till u get it then, although I doubt it'll be a crap stick!

BTW Faded which other character do you use apart from Kage?

Adiran, I'm going to be in machester fron next wednesday to next sunday. I've got a new sc2 stick which I hardly used if you want it for £30 tell me to bring it down with me.

Bring the stick

Cool, Mike bring the stick (in the box if you have it,but it don't matter if you don't!). I've got a feeling I'll still prefer my Namco Stick, but it's better to have a back up stick than nothing. 30 quid, COOL! I'll get practising and see if we can hook up with Mye at his place (In Urmston). He uses Wolf, Lau, Aoi and Brad and is a great player. Do you have my mobile? I'll PM you it just in case. I have your mobile number, I'll give you a ring over this weekend. Chamone!

Sticks and this saturday

Yeah...

My SC2 hori I got from Lik sang. Had to set up a special online back account with paypal or something though to get it as I only have 2 switch cards.

Stick was £20 odd I think packaging and shiping was £20 abouts I think then fucking ups hit me with £23 when it got delivered...had to sign for it n all that shit.

Anyways off the topic of sticks, Ade, r u up to much this saturday?

The way things are shaping up, I may have the house free for a day or two (emphasis on may) so is it at all possible for you to make to liverpool on saturday fro the day? Say 10 ish to 4 or something?

I know that the national express stops about 20 mins away from my house, that might be useful. Oh and there are a few train stations here but dunno if you can get from oxford road to here.

About the meet, I think totally realistically we could get 12 peeps no probs. 16 would be a push but I'd be confident of making 16.

Re: I'll wait til u get it

I have kind of a working idea how to play everyone cept Sarah, Pai, Lion and Vanessa. Right now though, I'm trying to cut out side characters and focus entirely on Kage.
