All I'm saying is be prepared for someone who is more addict to VF than you two together! LOL.

BTW I'm on the 'final' mission on GTA (where you've got to gain gang terriorties for the final mission). Hopefully I'll clock it tonight.

Yeah, don't forget Mye has been playing for god knows how long (in packed arcades over in HK/China I think)...I doubt he'd outright beat Dan, Shaun or Andy but he does have some nice play up his sleeves.

Last time I played his Lau, he had some 'new' strat's that he hasn't done on more before (mainly in Oki and such). Remember Mye has played in Arcades full or 'top tier' Akira and Jacky players (i.e. imagine playing JUST Akira and Jacky ALL DAY). There's no way he's gonna get white washed, trust me, he's been practising as much as he can. Remember, he has to work his ass off to pay the bills, don't forget!

Trying to pick up Kage. Cant find the page on here that has all the max damage combos for each character. Its like trawling through 20 zillion haystacks to find it.Also does anyone know where any Kage tactics are, would be much apreciated.cheers

Hey Dan, if you want some cool strategies then you should talk to Andy, he is the best Kage player I have seen (apart from Ryan, but I don't think you want to be bothering him with questions about basic Kage strats!). He will give you alot of insight into how to play Kage, but ultimately you should try to develop your own style, because Kage's moves list flows so nicely, you can create your own patterns and strats. I am prettty sure that if you can get as good as you are with Lion without any practice on humans, then you should be able to do the same with Kage.

What has happened is exactly whats happened the other 746 times Ive tried to thoroughly learn a character other than Lion:Ive given up cos I can't be arsed.Gonna stick with the poke man.Is there anywhere on here that I can look at the frame data of Lion?Cant find it anywhere.

Aah, well, never mind. Chris, had some great games at the TC on T5 last night, can't wait til this Sat, there's gonna be about 8-10 players, plus maybe a few random new guys as well! (Fingers crossed!).

Carry on playing Kage, he is stupendously good, all his best moves are safe as fuck, and he has the damn TFT!!!!!
seriously, it takes a while to get into a new character, but it can help your game improve by a whole heap. Not only does it familiarise you with that characters moves and flow charts (thus helping you in defending against them) but each character has different weakness which need to be dealth with, and when you can learn to deal with them, you can then reapply them to you 1st choice character, i.e. Lion.
Kage and Lion have a similqr problem, in the repsect that neither of them have particularly good float starts, I think Lions best one is a high level attack, and all of Kage's strikes lack damage. wheras if you look at Akira or Jeffry, they have moves that are 17/18 frames, mid level and do 90+ damage on MC. If you picked up one of the heavy hitters, you will find that they are really slow (except Lau and Akira) and really counterable. this is a major problem, but when you learn to overcome it, you can use the tactics you learned with Lion. e.g. if you are playing as a really counterable character, you may find that you have more use for ETG or ARE, things which are useful for all character, but are less required for some than others.
You should play Jeff, Lau or (if you can handle the command difficulty) Akira.
When you find yourself getting bored (I know i did with all three of my characters), start doing the underground arcade quests, they make it a little more interesting, and you find out things that may or may not work in normal play, so you will go back to a normal arcade and try them out. (If you are really bored, enter the Hyper Action Battle, it doesn't really improve your game, but it takes away some of the tedium of playing in the same arcade for hours trying to find that last damn player icon!!!

Stick with anther character man, I only picked Sarah up a few weks agao, but i really like her and I think that, with more practice I will make her my major character. (Sorry Adey boy, I'm gonna steal your title as North UK Sarah champ!!!).

It's doesn't matter Shaun, I only use Sarah for fun nowaday's, Kage is my main. I know it's ironic that I do better than with Sarah than Kage, but I enjoy the ninja much more, and that's what Vf is all about in my eyes. I'm looking forward to your Sarah, are you seriously using her more than Jacky? I always thought you would NEVER switch?

Yeah, at the moment she is my most played character, and I enjoy playing her more than Jeff or Jacky, (though I think Jacky is still a better character) and I hope to make her my best character. it's annoying at the moment though coz Andy doesn't really know how to defend against the Flamingo stance, so I can't learn any advanced tactics for it yet.

P.s. whoever the guy was that gave me the combo from the low punch sabaki has my most sincere gratitude, it's really useful!

Shit, I think Ade proved I dont play too well against Sarah.Ade-how u getting on with MGS3?I havent had the chance to play it much, dont you think its too difficult to get a stealth kill on this one?Let me know if you want any new games.

I'm actually using more Jacky than Sarah nowaday's, are me and Shaun in a parallel universe in switching character's? Still stuck on the same boss as before on MGS3(not played it much, more GTA tbh). I'l check for games today if I get a chance (v. busy at work).

I'm on a 2 week exam period just now but I'll be nipping into my dept to check the thread here. It's fine whatever day you decide to come but I hope to have more on the sunday as Mye will be there and he's really looking forward to playing someone other than just me and Ade!

Nice games yesterday day Ade, should have played Phil at tag myself but no doubt would have got owned...lol funny I beat him in the SC2 match when I said I would hahaha.

Should be at TC soon to start my cards, I'll let you know when I'm going/can make it.
