Thing is, you can't skank the "It" boss, you need to be quick and know what to do. Rocket Launcher won't do you much good for the first part of the battle.

You can't skank the Lake boss.

You can't skank lots of the rooms in the Castle (especially the later parts and the part before the weird morphed boss of the little guy).

You can't skank the boss I just mentioned with a rocket launcher.

You can't skank the knife fight with Krauser.

You can't skank fighting the weird tall tyrant things (unless you have a hancannon...ie you are a god at mercenaries).

You can't skank the "Right hand man" boss.

You can't skank the final boss with a rocket launcher (as far as I'm aware) even tho it's easy to kill.

You can't skank the minecart section or the section in the drilling machine Ashely drives.

You can't skank Ashely parts, controlling Ashely part or the nightmare part of the "big monk room"

Etc...

So overall I'd say it's no possible to skank all the way thru (besides which, the whole Village part is just a nice easy warm up to the game, kinda like the Virtuous Mission in MGS3).

LMAO After all that...

If you want a bad aiming skank, when you're surrounded by enemies, look left/right using the c stick and then aim, Leon will aim IMMEDIATELY in the direction the c stick is being pointed towards.

Aim straight down and spam fire to get loads of hit's, makes it a much easier boss IMHO.

Wrong. On the first part go up and down the ladder to waste time for the door timer. Plus the knife canes him (Trust me!).

Wrong. The Killer 7 kills them with head shots (Not the broken butterfly.

It IS possible to kill him without a rocket launcher (the one Ada throws). You can sell it for 30000g's in the second round.

Shoot from afar, although you'll miss out on money.

The "It" boss is the one who chases you through the hanging section of locked doors and then around a circle of land where you need to blow up some explosive barrallels near him to kill him.

Vs the Lake Boss you still need to be aware of tapping A, health etc so I wouldn't say you can skank it totally.

You can't "leave and return" on later sections of the castle eg as you have to climb up the giant statue of the little Salazar and do several different things also the last section before the "big" Salazar boss is the same sort of thing as you need to go up on weird elevator in the middle of the room and the room becomes swamped with monks etc...it's not possible to skank kill them all. Would you really do this everytime you fight a group of enemies? I wouldn't be able to put myself thru that!

The boss I mentioned is the one you couldn't do at first and texted me about...Salazar: It's not possible to skank him outright as you need to shoot the monsters eye, dodge with L+R or A/B and get some good shots in on the little guy, watch ammo and health etc...

No, I'm talking about the cutscene knife fight with Krauser...is there a way you can skank thru the cutscene? I'm talking the one where you have to vary between A/B and L+R. The A/B stuff in the game requires a bit of skill and quick reflexes to get right.

LOL on the final boss I know all about the special rocket launcher but I wouldn't say it's a skank seen as tho you have to inflict a certain amount of damage to get Ada to throw you it in the first place to finish it off. Besides which, it's a special rocket launcher and not a standard one that you can skank off the merchant.

Does the killer 7 really work on those tryant things? (called Regenerators/Iron Maidens) The ones that grow back? (the ones you need to destroy the plague things inside, using infrared sight). If so, it's hardly a skank as you'd need the magnum ammo in the first place and it's not really the most readily available ammo. If so, and you discovered you can kill em with one head shot from a Killer7, get it on gamefaqs as it's not down (as far as I'm aware the only way to kill em is shooting the things using the infrared scope...tho apparanetly it takes 13 shotgun shells to kill them as well...dunno)

As for the Minecart section and Driller section you'd need plenty of ammo to shoot stuff from afar as it is, plus monsters drop in on you in both sections (besides which, the mine cart uses the B/A and L+R thing too, you can't skank that).

(There's more sections I know that you can't skank thru but I can't think of em)

I know there's some skanks and weird bugs in the game but unless you've played the game thru a few times and have stuff maxed out or special weapons etc I still don't think it's possible to skank the entire game.

If so, make it harder on yourself with some mad challenges:


Only use the first weapons available (ie first pistol, first shotgun, first rifle etc...).

Start a new game and don't upgrade your weapons at all as you go thru.

Try (emphasis on try LOL) to do it with a knife only, besides the harpoon in the lake...hmmm I'm almost sure it's not possible to do this LMAO.

Start a new game and use NO YELLOW+GREEN HERB COMBOS!

Start a new game and only use natural food sources like fish and eggs for health.

I'm sure we could think of more mad things to do.

Just had an interview about the Jenny Ellison prog, was a bit weird as the guy had it all filmed too! Wonder if he'll use any of it in the final thing.

You'll probably be in the programme for about 1 minute LOL.

I was thinking about using only the first weapons available.

Just got to the infamous 'through the flames' scenario, although this time I'm much better equipped with ammo and health. The Red9 is a TOP hangun, although I recommend the stock for it.

I hate that Salazar boss, I ALWAYS use a Rocket Launcher on his ass (after I shoot the eye thing).

Those Red monks before him are a major bitch, not looking forward to it on Pro!

Regarding the Knife, I consider it a TOP weapon in this one, although, I don't think it's even possible to complete the game with it! LOL. Maybe with a enhanced Red9, hmm, I'll have to think about that.

Not touched Tekken 5 in 2 weeks!

Yeah I'm loving the Red9+stock, it's a fucking hardcore handgun! I'm also gonna just stick with the first shotgun this time thru and get it to exclusive.

On my next game I'll use Blacktail and Riot gun, gotta have some variety!

The knife is a top weapon but yeah I'm 99% sure it's not possible to do the game with it alone.

I'm back this sunday morning, staying here a little longer to get work done and see some mates.

Learnt some new Sarah combos last night, some what, two years (+++) after i first started using her, can't believe it!

Just got all the gold from the praying guys (after the Novistadors), got a shit load of cash. Red9 is NEARLY maxed, saving up for the striker and a bigger box.

Nah not started Pro yet, I started a new Normal file just to get used to the game before attacking Pro. Did the nightmare room last night, on reflection, I have to say it's one of the standout, best set pieces I've ever played thru and I wasn't that scared 2nd time thru as I knew exacty what was coming.

I did have a red 9 which was upgraded a bit but I traded it for a blacktail as I has having trouble with space/money in my attache case...in fact I had to sell my shotgun and be with out one for a bout 3/4 sections of the castle before buying one back just before the nightmare room!!!!

Oh, quick tip on the Wolverine man, I found him dead easy last night. Run away from him at first and shoot one of the bells...then the plagas on his back and he'll chase you to where you stand. Around the pillar you go to shoot his back, then quickly shoot the other bell and he'll go there. Literally 5 shotgun hits did him, first ime thru I got mashed up in that section!

Also start MGS3 on Hard and Euro Extreme for a laugh, seen as tho I'm so accustomed with the game (8hrs into my Normal re-play file).

Quick tip on that: Get the SVD sniper in the snake eater mission...just head right and south when you enter the scene with the first guard and bobs your uncle!

Hiya, am finally back on the net. Have been playing with Kage quite a bit but I think Lion is worming his way back in. Damn that French man he always wins in the end! Am well up for another meet as i have some money at the moment. Any plans Chris? Off to play resurrection of evil on my phat new computer,byeeeee.

If you didn't know, Andy has moved to Texas and Shaun is now in Blackburn!

Could you make it to mine for the 16th or 23rd April? Both dates are a saturday soon. If so we could do the next meet then and I'll let everyone know (we have a new Lion player, Scott and possibely a new Sarah player who can't really play the game LOL).

I should be getting my loan thru 2moro morning (I have 2p on my phone!) and if I do I'll text everyone like mad to get some interest sparked. Off the top of my head those I envisage being up for a meet are;

PS Ade, if you want a stupidly hard RE challenge, do Real Survivor with Chris on the remake or Hard on RE0, both are a nightmare LOL.

When I have finished caning RE4, I will do those challenges on hard on RE1 Remake. Such a good game as well, although it'll be weird playing an 'old' system! LOL.

I'll see if Mye can come on a Saturday. And maybe Scot wants to come?

The Lion player (Scott) nah he's not amazing but he is good at Tekken. He's played the game for a while but me and Ade don't have too much trouble against him, so I guess others wouldn't.

Scott used to play VF a LOT more though. Nowaday's he plays CVS2, GG and T5. Still, it'll be nice not to be the worst player there! LOL.

Hmm, loan's come thru may track down a copy of Fighting Jam for a laugh (I've already hear that it's broken by mis-matches a la Hyper but it's still a laugh).
