For anyone whos interested I've recently been in touch with Will and Dan (Rayne). They said they should be able to make the next meet hopefully and Will may even be able to bring along a couple of other players!

I've counted up all the fights we've had in the tourneys so far as well as the matches we saved on mem cards and sorted out tiers. Whilst not completely accurate seen as though we haven't registered every single match it does give a good idea of everyones playing levels. The tiers go as follows:

Lower: 0%-40%
Middle: 41%-60%
Higher: 61%-100%

in terms of win ratio. I realise this is not done in equal amounts but I've tried to reflect the fact we have quite a few players in the higher part of the lower bracket and the lower part of the middle bracket but only really two that could be classed as higher tier. Well amongst us anyway.

Again I'm well aware that some will have played more than others and some may have only been to one meet or whatever so far but this is to just give everyone a rough idea of where they stand.

With any luck the next meet could be a large one. So large in fact that Will suggested he bring his tv and ps2 and we have 2 running simultaneously which would be cool. We'll have to wait and see. If anyones still reading this have a good christmas! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

 

7th Febuary: Manchester meet of doom

Here we go...

Saturday 7th of feb is the date, 10ish till 5ish as usual. Hope all the usual suspects can make it. Meeting place will probably be the gamestation since we all know where it is now. Same format, warm up games in the morning and then we'll try and play some tourney stuff in the afternoon. I'm thinking about insisting on 1 character per player in the tourney too...maybe 2 only. Its stops players using chars because they are playing someone specific ( IE slimadeys Sarah ALWAYS AGAINST ME!!!!! /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) but will also make people think more about who they want to play as properly (ie who they consider their best character is).

Hopefully we'll have Faded et al coming down from scotland as well as Will and maybe a few others. atm the system file reads as:

Can't wait for the next meet, TFT time! Chamone! Stick to pringles and coke for the meet! /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif Also, I'm considering dropping Sarah (Chris will be happy!) and switching to Jacky (Watch this space!).

The majority of players will probably drop out (as per usual), but look forward to 7th Feb.

Ahh its all good. I've been refining my Akira but also been suing a lot of Goh, Aoi and Pai. Doubt my Lei Fei will make an appearance.

I think Will is pretty certain to come and theres a chance a Wolf player will be coming with him too. I'll try and put up the stats everyone has for individual chars soon.

My Kage has actually been a little rough this week when I was practicing, hopefully I can iron out the kinks before feb.

I've jazzed up your Lion file a bit now, he looks reet bo.

I added the tier system to give some people (ie ME!!) an incentive to start practising more and trying to improve win ratios. Its possible Rayne will be coming but I haven't heard from him yet. Hes a Lion player too. With any luck we'll all be able to play some mirror matches for a laugh.

Hmm yeah that would be uber.

Would you have enough players for a 3 man "Team Scotland" or so?

We've only had 3 meets so far. 3 showed for the first, 7 for the second and 6 for the last however I think this time could be the best for numbers as none of us manchester based peeps have an excuse to miss it (all uni exams will be finished then) and non-student players can make saturdays no problem.

I'll mess around with some ideas of how we could do stuff with the players I know I can rely on.
