um, maybe i am slow, but is the legit MGS3 out in England, in the shop yet, coz i really really want it, and i am paranoid that it is out and i have missed it. (also, i read in a mag that it was called Snake Eater, but thats probably just me being slow and stupid.......)

    CHRIS:
another good trick with jeff is to make good use of [1]+[P]+[G], it throws the opponent into the wall, and then you can follow up with [6][6][P][P] (which puts them on the floor after hitting the wall, so they cannot tech roll) and then use [8_]+[G]+[K] (this is his mega heavy pounce) this gets ALOT of damage.
if they manage to stagger out of the the wall throw, then they will be in the classic knee/throw guessing game.
i usually do the huge combo, because 99% of the time, people do not stagger in time, but every now and then i just use the throw so that it doesn't become obvious what i am doing. against people who can stagger fast, use the knee/throw.

around the maximum distance from the wall you can hit [1][P]+[G],wallhit, [6][P]+[K],[6][6][P][P]wallhit, pounce for even more damage. Around about the 50% of a bar mark if i recall correctly

yeah, that combo is more damage, but it is slightly slower and wont always work on those who can struggle at a medium speed, but thats just me, i prefer to get guarenteed damage over more damage, which isnt always the best thing to do with jeff i know, but thats just me...

Hmmm yeah all this KER AZY Jeff talk lol.

MGS3:Snake Eater will not be out for a loooong time yet, same with RE4. The remake of MGS called MGS Twin Snakes came out last friday on GC. Essentially its ps1 MGS with MGS2 graphics and abilities (ie aim and fire in 1st person). I think they've got the whole voice cast back too, well at least I know they have David Hayter on board and thats all that counts /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

FUCK!!! Its just come! The M9 tranq gun has been added too. Well looks like I'm gonna be weeping tears of purest gold n waving good byw to my social life for the next few weeks. Plus its got the dog tag feature of MGS2 as well.

well i was hoping that someone might have posted this before i got home, but basically we went to get tikets today and there was basically nothing we could get for the 9th /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif (apparently this has something to do with it being good friday)

So suggestions for an alternate date anyone?

kind of unsure what to do now

I know I txtd you Ade but damn, I've gotten back into old school SH1 and MGS. Haven't played much of evo in a while and too distracted by work as well as all the other games I've got to do.

I've never managed to get the super rank though. Its a shame I didn;t buy a copy of the guide to it, bet that would have had it in. Still need to do SH3 a bit more as well as Re0 ,2 ,3 plus CVX.

Good luck with Sarah down south!

    EDIT:

    Cool link to the SH4 railer ade;

I'll do my best in London. My Sarah is almost back to her best, although she is the most used character in London apparently, so it could be battle of the Sarah player's.
Seen Dawn of the Dead remake yesterday, Zombie's SHOULDN'T RUN!!!!!!!!!!! Still good film, but SHOULD have been MUCH better. Hope they reamke the superior Day of the Dead. That would kick ASS!
BTW There is a 10-star faq for SH1 on Gamefaqs.com.

Prop's to my man IronMike for getting 4th in the States on Tekken Tag. (I bow dow n to your greatness). I'll playin a bit of Tag at the mo, damn I miss Ogre's. Hopefully I'll see you this Friday/Saturday in Trocadero (9th-10th). Chamone!

just happened to be passing by and from what i've gathered in talking with a couple tekken peoples and most of them say the ogres are top tear with the mashima's being below them. And in a tournament among the best asian players (korea, japan etc etc) the results were mostly Ogre users. *shruggies*

Forigve me if I am interjecting on a conversation that doesnt even need this post.

Ogre's are certainly top tier, but not as good as Mishamas, still the've always been my best team. EV2 if you want a first to ten on Tag, I'll quite happily beat the crap the outta ya on it. You pick you're Mishamas, you're still gonna lose! YUAAAAAAA! (Note: Sarcasm!) (Mike, you're Mishamas are a different story altogether)

Goin to London tonite, gonna get battered, but should be fun. To think, I'll be in London in 12 houes (10.15 now). Back on Sat Nite/Sun Morning.

EV2 and Elite: are you in Scotland this weekend, cos Iron Mike is in MC if you wanna stay at his and challenge, I'm sure you could come on Sunday til Monday and stay over? It would be a thing of natural beauty (best said in an Austrailian Accent).

    Ogres rule.

Don't worry about adding your thoughts Vith.

    Ade:

Zombies shouldn't run man!!! Its like vampires not being afraid of light or werewolves not changing cos of the moon. Its just not right!

Dawn is a classic in the genre, but yeah, my al time fav is Day, we'll ahve to watch it again next time your round.

SH4 looks proper amazing, so does MGS:SE.

Hardly been playing any evo, been too busy with other games and speeding through MGS:TTS and trying to get into FFX-2.

Hyper SF2 soon as well as the new Hitman game!

Do your best down south /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

What a gaming weekend I've had.

After expecting to see cockney's bouncing fruit off their elbow's and hearing 'blatant' and 'mineral's load's, for my first time in London, I (obviosly) got battered at Evo, but have (as a result) decided to use Kage AND ONLY KAGE. Respect to the Evo player's (and actually all the beatemup player's in Trocadero) I never realised the constant challenge's by player's and the standard of some of them. I seen some sick shit on Evo, namely by G-ho's Pai play and by the black guy (sorry, shook your hand, but can't remember your name!) who owned people with Vanessa. Wish I could of stayed longer, but there a chance I'm can catch a lift with Will (PLEASE!!!!!) if I go stoke on after work on Friday (to go to Absolution or as I prefer to call it, play Mukkey Akira weekend! /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif) but we will have to see.

    Shout Out's (A Strong Look! Injoke:Will)
Will: Thanks for letting me stay at your's in London, Hopefully I see you this weekend! Txt me ASAP when you can say ya or na. Combination, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah! (from the Jap Dvd, Chamone!) Sidenote: I got the impression I better not get on the wrong side of your sister, does she turn into Dracula after midnight? Hmm LOL.

Random White Guy who hammered Evo: Your level of challenge abuse knew bound's, Chamone!

Random White Guy on Tag: Good Mishamas, maybe I should try Casino for some Tag play?

IronMike: Had an addict session of the Sunday, great Akira (as usual) and great 'new' leifei play, Shaun and Andy watch out, he's comin to out next MC meet! I've not forgot about the 10 quid I owe you for US Tag! Chamone!

Stalwart Samurai: For lookin scarily like Lau, shame I didn't get to play you, had to go! /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I'll add stuff if I remember more Stuff.

Unlocked bandana and stealth suite and now I'm collecting all the dog tags in MGS TTS.

Looks like res evil outbreak could be over here in sept but with no online play. Still, loks amazing the way it links in with res0,1,2 and 3.

Be back in manchester this sunday. Might tyr hold a meet the weekend after but don't anyone hold theri breath about it for now.

The general idea I that entered my head to improve from the London player's was don't use more than TWO CHARACTER'S, hell some chose to only use ONE. That's dedication, something which I have took on board. It's essential to know as MUCH as possible for your chosen character's.

Shaun and Andy, I don't fear you anymore, after getting skull-fuucked in London, I'm planning on getting revenge from the last meet, watch out! Mike said he SHOULD be coming and his Lei Fei is gonna be riding some serious ass hole, make sure you practise some anti-LeiFei strat's, I never realised how dangerous he is in the hand's of a decent player. My Kage seem's to be coming on leabs and bounds, I definetley want to test him against people, the one thing that seem's to have improved from London play is my reaction time, you have to have hand's that move like lightning when playing some of the London player's (G-ho and VO sping to mind!). I don't want to contemplate playing Ryan and Dai, that is one scary prospect!
