Shaun: I'm sure you'll beat him next time. Speaking for myself, I think the majority of the Lion/Kage fight's I had with Rayne always went to the wire, to me the fight's seemed closer than the score line in the tournie (3-0! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif he's defentley my character of choice for playing him, I guess I can use different character's well versus different player's, the same principle seem's to go for Andy as well, although after the mini session I had at Darius's yesterday proved my Jacky's skill's and why I have now 'relegated' Sarah and Lau to secondary character's in favour of him. It's not that I find it 'dead easy' to win with him, just that I find learning the game system with him easier than say my other chracter, Kage. When I say 'game system' I mean fuzzy guarding, foot stance specific combo's, foot stance's in general, flow chart's, back stagger's, the list goes on, but the thing I like the best about him is simple command's and the 'good character on a crap joysitck' factor's very useful for me too!

Enjoyed playing you all, Chris' Pai was fun, I'm improving against SA's Kage, Jeffry is still a gay, Goh is a pain, and Lion also sucks lots of cock.

If only you hadn't cried like a girl until you got your own way, then i wouldn't have to say all this now, would I? maybe if you were a real player who didn't cheat then i would show some remorse, but when you turned up to the meeting in your black and white striped T-shirt, bandanna and Swag bag, i knew that there was something not quite right about you.

New VF player in Manchester

I met a VF player (actually, he play's almost every fighting game ever made) who will be able to make it to future meet's. If I remember rightly, his Akira was V. good, but I hear he uses Lion as well now. I'll text him nearer the time for the next meet. Chamone!

EDIT: Chris texted me last night and said he will post the result's either today or tomoz, as he's got loads of uni work on at the moment.

Sup guys, no I'm not dead yet just been busy.

Just quickly the final standings, calculated using Plancks constant and a quick Feynman diagram for electron-positron annihilation were:


1. RAYNE (Lion)
2. ELITE (Goh, Wolf)
3. ELITEV2 (Jacky, Jeff...who else? /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
4. SLIMADEY (Kage, Jacky)
5. LM_AKIRA (Akira, Pai)
5. NAKURA (Pai)
5. WACKY JACKY (Jacky)
6. DARIUS (Lion, Brad)

I'll put up all the full results and add comments soon but I've got an exam in an hour so I'm just getting stuff up thats quick to do now.

Very briefly...good matches guys. My Akira was slightly worse than last time and I was spazzing up DLC a few times but thats cos I've been messing round with far too many other chars. Got some nice PIT variations worked out now since most can struggle the shrm now. Gone back to serious Goh play too. Not really used him much in the tourneys but should do in future.

Nice one for Ade for getting 4th place and Rayne......

NO SHOULDER BUTTONS EVER AGAIN

just to make it clear. They are totally ruled out of any more meets.

Yeah...after I get afew more champions it'll be Akira pretty much none stop with some Goh too. I could use other chars like Aoi, Pai etc...but they tend to just mess up my game. We'll have to see though....


Phew 1 down 6 to go. I'll probably next post on monday morning and I'll try and get full results up then. In the meanwhile check out this funky Goh combo

timing is very tight n only works againts Pai in closed stance but its better damage than his other LP bounce combos.

 

Exam's

God, I don't know how you cope with exam's, it'd just pickle my head.

I was messing with Goh specifically for backstagger combo's, I find him very limited in that department. I gues that's the price you pay for having safe as hell flow chart's! I respect his throw 'game' though.

You've started to use Kage? Hmm, have you nailed TFT knee combo's yet? Trust me, it'll only take a month of constant abuse /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif ! But I'm a ninja addict, so /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Chamone!

Hey, good to see you are taking my lessons seriously. i know that it might be hard for you to digest all the SSL (subject specific Lexis), but stick with it. if you need any more help, i can give you the 'Lo Down' on Bozons and Neutrinos!

Hehe ... the word is Bosons (the other main type of particles being fermions...ie those with half integer spin wheras bosons have integral spin and obey Bose-Einstein quantum statistics). Scarily enough I actually did a course called Bosons and Fermions last semester.

Still not all details up yet of all fights but I'm way too busy atm. Just popped into uni for a few mins to check emails. Next post could be friday morn.

Yeah Ade your Jacky file is now Champion and both him and Kage have a full set of orbs too. Working back on Lei now. Stay tuned for fight results!!!...
