hey, if/when you are not busy and you wanna build on character files, here are my set ups for jeff and jacky, just in case you are feeling kind. i would appriciate it.

Jeff
1 player set:
skull mask on head.
ornate shield on arm.
double axe on legs.
ALL of his clothes are black.

2 player:
roman helmet(i think its called this (its the one where all of his face is covered))
shoulder pads (the steel ones)
greatsword.

all of his clothes are silver.


Jacky
1 player:
wavy hair.
rimless sunglasses.
glowing orb.
black boots
ALL of his clothes are WHITE.

2 player:
long hair (not long bangs!)
sunglasses (this is it, not rimless or black or purple, just 'sunglasses')
fire soul emblem
half chaps

ALL of his clothes are BLACK

really would enjoy seeing what my guys look like in colour and in 60Hz!

also, are you any closer to knowing when the next meeting is. (i know its early, but i am just curious)

 

Next meet

Well, I'll have to break the news now that the next meet may not be for a long time yet. This weekend is taken up with me revising for exams (got a 3hr epic in about 2 hrs and then one on thur and one on fri) as I have another three in a row next week and then I go home to liverpool on 5th June. I come back to manchester on 18th sept and I'm living in the same place but not in the same room (I'm living in the posh new block) which means we'll still be able to hold big meets at mine as we can use the big room we did for our tourney.

Will said hes getting a flat in manchester though and said he may have some meets there so I'm afraid atm he'll have to be the person who gets the meets going for the next few months.

On the plus side, what I'm trying to do is get all files to Champion. I'll get my own Jeff file to Champion then dress him as you want and sort out the win ratio so that its the same as yours is now (think its about 82% or so not sure) and then you can have the file. I may try and do the same for your Jacky too...well maybe not get him to champion but at least dress him up the way you want him.


So there may not be a load of vf action going on that soon really, unless Faded came down to leeds again or you went to scotland or random actually organises something big I dunno. At this moment in time vfs on a bit of a stand still round here.

Shame, but I preditcted this would happen. Still gives me time to hone my skills in London /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif.

BTW Is neone getting HSF on Friday? I'll have to get it on Monday (In Amsterdam!) just for the Movie free with it (I have the jap import version). Time to relive the old school skank's, redizzy's, overpowered character's and more importantly HADOKEN! Tiger! Sonic Boom! Spinning Bird Kick! etc, SF Forever!

Well you already know I'm getting it Ade. SF2 rocks man! No doubt I'll be really rusty but by the next time we're all together I should be sonic booming with the best of them (actually nah....I'll just skank Kens Dragon Punch lol).

btw Ade check my char list........this summer, I'm making everyone Champion!!!! (well maybe not Wolf or Brad see how patient I am lol).

 

How many character's?

Dude, how many character's do you use? LOL. Jeff and Lei as main's. I'm assuming your getting them to champion? Can't wait to have EVERY character on Champion, that's proper bo I tell thee.

Yeah man Lei n Jeff (n Akira obviously!!!) all the way to Champion. I messed round Shun n Brad the other night too. Shun is simila to Lei in that you really have to know what stances to what and what moves from which stance etc...might write a guide to his stances when I have the chance back home.

Day of the Dead

Yeah Day was SO ripped by the Res Evil series, but in a GOOD way! Can't wait for the new Res Ev, but REALLY looking forward to Res 4 and SH4 (Mouth Watering!)

Yeah i was reading psw about it.

Basically Henry (the guy you play) is stuck in his apartment and the more you play the more sicko portals open up all about the place and thats where all the story takes place through the portals. Thing is in his apartment its all 1st person perspective!!!!! Can u imagine that! Brown trousers time!

Theres loads more too but I guess you must know about it already right?

SH4 look's REALLY sick, I like the way you start in an 'Evil' world straight away this time, non stop terror! I guess the thing I REALLY like about the SH series is the 'multiple' endings and the bonus item's you can earn (Res Evil style!) but the atmosphere in SH seem's more creepy to me.

Don't get me wrong I still prefer Resident Evil over SH, but see them as two seperate entities, not SH trying to copy Res Evil, which if you think about it, it's not trying to do in the first place. Phew, my rant has now ended!

Yeah I think at the end of the day I'm a hardcore RE nut by SH is realy superb too...2 very similar but very different games if you see what I mean.

btw have you seen the screens for FT yet? Looks pretty darn sweet to me. Heres just hoping (praying!) nothing silly happens to Akiras moves and that some other characters are "balanced out a bit more" (lol Jeff cough cough Jeff!!! lol jsssut kiddin.....not).

yeah, the way i see it is, Res Evil is a game based more on action and simple "find the key, unlock the door" puzzles. SH is a game based more on the creepy atmosphere and more difficult puzzles that are more like riddles and word games. i think that you have to have a lot more wits about you to play SH, but i think you must have quicker reactions and the natural ability to know when a Zombie will be behind the next corner. i think they are totally different game, the only similarities are that you get weapons, you control the guy like a nissan skyline and you have to beat the shit out of infinite waves of zombified creatures........

btw chris, i hope the exams went ok. make sure you use the plancks constant!
i am not too bothered about win ratios, just as long as they are dressed ok.

Resident Evil definetley tries to make you 'jump' more than Silent Hill, all though Silent Hill doesn't set out to do that too you, it tries get in you head a lot more, example: The way's you can get different ending's in 2 is by healing yourself too much or too little, running away from Maria, staying near her etc. I think SH is much more about physchological terror 'that floor number in the lift wasn't there last time'.

The fact is I've played both to death and then played them AGAIN! MUHAHAHH! ( /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

yeah, i agree, SH is mre about freaking you out than giving you quick frights. i think that Res Evil looks better, the fight between Wesker and Alexia on code veronica was cool. i think the game is more linear and easier to understand, wheras SH is much more complex and has a very large nonsense factor, for example, on SH2, why does James jump down holes (Back first!) that he cannot see the bottom of? its suicide!

thanks for the items, i hope that the next meeting will not be TOO far away. im glad your exams went ok, i had one myself on Tuesday (English Language) and it lasted for four and a half hours! it was easy though, so not to worry.

btw, ade, how many times are you going to change that picture of yours?
ill post Andy's items up when i can talk to him, he is at work now and i have very little credit, so i have to wait till he gets there so he can ring me and the work phone, its all very complicated, but it should work.

i have started playing on an old swordfighting game called 'Kengo: Master of Bushido' and although it is toss, i find myself compelled to keep playing, so i am hoping that i get out of this by the time the next meeting comes, otherwise i will have not practiced at all.
