I'm actually going to town in a bit and so might get a copy of SC2 dunno.

Ah unlucky Steev my folks are coming back down on sunday with some more furniture for me. btw Sainsburies have it for £20 now and theres a gamestation opened up near the little tescos which is cool. Saw little Alex yesterday at the Tescos and he came back to mine to play soem pro evo. Beat him 3 games to 1 then he left.

Yeah I think a mobile is the only option atm. The payphone in my place only takes 1o, 20 or 50 pense pieces(?????) and it doesn't accept incoming calls. I could get a phone line put into my room but it'd cost £75 and then £20 a month so its not worth it.

Haha just got back from town but on my way I saw James going to computer science. Also saw big Alex as well and hes living in a flat off oxford road now or something. Catch you son.

www.o2.co.uk is a good place to get a pay as you go mob from - expensive initially but cheap to run, even if you only use texts.

Jeez, I'm just killing time here at work, can't wait till 5! D/ling some matches to get me in the mood.
Still not too sure who to use tonight, probably a combo of Lau/Kage/Sarah/Jacky/Akira/Jeffrey, but I'll only know for sure tonight.

Hey Steev....

Gamestation has opened up along with blockbusters next to the tescos round from hulme. They've got evo in for £20. I'll grt it for you if you want and then you can owe me the money, just let me know sometime. I gor SC2 this morning as well. It was well cool though as I traded in SOF, DOA2, twin caliber and SH2C and got £38 for them ....but to carholders SC2 was only £37.99 so I joined the card thing and they owed me a penny. RESULT!!! Only played for like 5 mins as Astaroth and Ivy (you'll see why when I show you) but its really good fun. Quest mode to it is huge too though I doubt the technical challenge rivals evos.

Man just heard from Rayne that he's not coming /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif putting numbers down to 4....Ah well heres hoping theres no more cancellations!!!!!

After all that, it was just me, Csnape and Wacky Jacky, still recorded some good matches tho'.

Watching Dawn of the Dead rocked as well, and getting Memento for 10 quid was cool.

Since the 'big' meet I have done mission practice for Akira and Kage, just have combo 7 left for Kage in Tactics, and NEARLY done the throw escape challenge.

Chris, just PM when you wanna meet again, every friday is best for me, although sat is good as well. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

As slimadey says only 3 showed in the end. Bit dissapointing but cheers guys for showing anyway. Heres a break down of everyones results:

Some good matches there guys, especially the eternal stuggle of Kage Vs Akira. Yoho vs TFT if you will. Shame we didn't save some of the titanic Akira vs Jacky matches.

Some impressions:

My play was quite scrappy actually glad we weren't playing for money. My inputs were mainly poor and mistimed but I was glad with my throw escapes. Aoi and Goh had a fleeting appearance and Lei got hammered as I haven't played him in ages.

Nice Kage man. Thought you were going to use Akira all the time. Think I'll take up Kage to know how to play you properly. Nice Sarah too, very aggressive.

WJ:
Strong defensive Jacky as usual and good Lau.


I'll try and unlock a few more items for some chars and get practising. Gonna sit down and analyse frame data for the next few weeks and study hard.


My pro evo playing was poor too. Gotta get bck into it for no 3 and starting to get the hang of SC2 now with Taki, Ivy and Astaroth.

Sorry to dissapoint anyone looking for replays thus far but we had problems with peeps dropping out so dunno when we'll get footage up in the future.


I'll let everyone else know when the next meet will be. Hopefully make it a fri/sat within say 2/3 weeks.

Oh yeah Nakura...hehe you rang half way through a heated Jacky Akira match with Ramsey. It was quite surreal. See you all soon,

My impressions:
Need to practice throw escapes hard (which I have been doing), practice TFT combos with Kage, and work on Sarah (all round strat's, I guess). Overall I did as well as I expected, but still need A LOT of practice.

Csnape:
Very good Akira, as you said some good Kage v Akira matches. Your throw escaping is very good, something I need to work on. (I am training with Akira,Kage and Sarah now).

WJ: Good use of Jacky's moves (and enough back flips). Shame you didn't stay longer.

Yeah for next time I'll definately have an idea of what to expect. I'm going through quest mode with Pai atm to unlock all the cool stuff. I've got the 3 training arenas to play in and soon I'll have the old stages. Might start using Pai for real too shes got some nice floats.

Actually for the next meet I'm thinking of running it just throught the day, say 10.30 in the morning till about 5 ish at night as I'll soon have a pile of work on and I don't want to be doing Kages tutorial and mission practice at 4 in the morning!

I'll sort out some proper food an that too and the good thing now is that my room has a load more furniture in and so everythings nicely on shelves etc.

my university is cool, ive been in casino a few times, but they got back to back screens for ttt, ggx reloaded and 3rd strike in funland now (u know, u can play without having to sit next or looking at your oponent) its fucking dark, apparantly duel screen evo is on its way as well, ive been in p2w as well, but all the players that go in there are shit, i don't think ive lost a match there. but theres on average 10 heads a night playing sc2, so ive started playing that as well. so post me some nightmare/mitsurugi skanks.

im still playing akira, theres still so much i need to learn with him, i spent an hour practicing the other night trying to come up with my own tactics i came up with ++ while they're on the floor + which goes over them as they get up leaving they're back facing you giving u a free back throw or whatever. i got some camera switching tactics with lion's but im still working on that.

oh yeah, don't forgetmy dvd!!!
