North UK VF thread

Not too sure

Chris: I'm not too sure if I can come due to money shortages (I just had to shell out a 200 quid debt to my mum) and it's akin to someone cutting off my balls and with me buying Mike's SC2 stick /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif of him next week for 30 quid I don't think I can afford it. Out of interest, do you know how much it would cost from Liverpool to Manchester on a train/coach etc?

Faded: I kinda know what you mean about sidetracking secondary character's. I've kinda FORCED myself to stick to Sarah up until the tournie next month (she was my first character in Evo and is probably still my best if I['m being honest). But I refuse to drop Kage, cos I've used him since VF3 and it would hurt too much to drop him. I also have decent knowledge of Lau/Jacky, but their on hold for the forseeable future, cos I'm loving skanky Sarah WAAAY too much to drop her! (I know I'm cheap! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

 

The LM trip on national express

I've a feeling its around £6.

It's far cheaper than you'd think.

In fact even the train ticket might be that price too I'm not sure.

Actually thinking about it, what about the 'SuperBus' thing that's just started in Manchester? I'll have to look on the Stagecoach web-site. Big brother will get back to you.

I'm not 100% sure if it'll be ok for you to come (I'm pretty sure the folks won't be around though) but the train only takes around 40 mins, as does the coach ride.

I forgot, you could come to mine and stay over til Sunday if you wanted too. On the Sunday it's the charity shield and I'm staying at my mates, so will be heading back through Manchester town centre. I STILL have no credit, but if I need to contact you, I'll ring you tonight. To be honest, work is DEAD today, I only have work that's gonna take 30 min's top's! Gardenings taking over

Hmm yeah the thing is I need to be doing work around the house over the weekend. I need to dig up half the garden (weeds and trees) and demolish half an old shed/ fence. We're getting a skip round monday to chuck it all in so it's needs to be done pretty soon.

Having said that I also have next to no money at all as well...I can barely get another £10 to top up my phone.

God damn it!!!

I just remembered that I've gotta get my hair cut on Saturday, cos Sunday everywhere's closed and I'm at the gym after work Mon-Fri! Aaaaah! Maybe next week you could come here? Cos Mike is here next weekend and we could stay over at his on Friday evening! Come on, that'd kick ass! I'd love to see two Akira's face off, that'd be sweet! Hope to see both of you next weekend, unforetunatley Mye is only free Sunday's, so he won't be able to come on Friday, Aaah! You'll still see him in September, so it won't be all bad.

 

Sept some time

Nah I won't be able to make any more meets or anything till sept.

This saturday was like a one off chance but all meets or VF play will have to wait till sept when I'm back in manc.

Gonna try re0 again in a min. Don't wanna skank my way to the rocket launcher so Im trying to do it properly (true hradcore re nut at work!)

Chris, started watching Day of the Dead again, but stopped half way threw for some VF practice, I'll watch the rest tonight (The've just cut of that's guy arm, I'm at that bit!).

hey slim hows the gym goin, I didnt realise you saw your weight as in issue, if you need tips just ask , ive lost about 3 half stone already.

Actually G, I used to be nearly 30 stone and have lost about 9 stone, although some of that has gone back on, which is why I'm back at the Gym, the only bad thing is, it's cutting my VF practice time in half (maybe even more!) but it's gonna be good for me in the end I guess.

 

Day of the dead

Ahh yeah that leads up to the best part of the film. The last 30 mins of zombie carnage rocks.

I saved about 17 times when I did it in 3 hrs 44 so I reckon I can easily shave the time down to less than 3.30. I was tending to "panic save" as I did the whole game with out using a pistol after the train part and was panicing about finding smg ammo (it's quite possible to cane the game as long as you have inf hunting gun and smg).

The rocket launcher will be mine!!! (then copied for you!!!)

btw big up respect for Maddy's Akira coming 7th place in Evo2K4 , top stuff!

ah, finally some people with good zombie taste. everyone sez dawn of the dead is better but i think day of the dead is has more of a conclusion of the entire story. gotta love that suicidal dude who lets in the zombies tho.....

Yeah, that guys Miguel.

My fav has to be Steele, just as hes the only one with the balls to do the right thing. Blow his head off when the shit hits the fan. Plus its kinda noble of him too.

For me Day is the best zombie film going and as Ade said yeah I reckon it is better than Dawn, even though that really did kick off the whole genre.

 

My personal faveourite

Sure, after Texas Chainsaw, Day is defo my favourite horror film it influenced Res. Ev. so much it's scary! (But in a good way, cos I love the Res.Ev's and Silent Hill's!)

Haha no not yet, just been digging up fucking weeds all round the garden. They're tough little bastards I tell you. Bo selecta.

I'm thinking of kicking off with the official tourney thread soon and coming up with an official set of rules sos that no one tries to pull a fast one.

If the uk peeps see it, it'd save them the hassle of either pming me or wading through our crap and posting here.

 

Rules

1. No Shoulder button's on pad
2. No Dural
3. One Character ONLY
4. Side decided by agreement or toss of a coin
5. Random stage select? (Maybe stage select if people agree on a level?)
6. NO MORE than 3 consecutive fight's in the warm-ups.
7.NO using other people's files.
8. NO smoking in the room provided (If smoking is not allowed).


These are only ideas people! Other people feel free to post your ideas.
