As for "true" win ratios, from now on I want players to try and keep track of all their own games. I'll print out loads of tables for people to enter their results in so that all matches are accounted for.

I know for one Shaun and Andys results would look better and mine too since me and Ade always Lamar it (50-50) all the time as do me and Will (some damn close 5-4 matches going on) and in the tourneys I often play complete shit. Not on purpose obviously, I just get waaay to sloppy.

Time Crisis 2 is actually really good fun. It's hard to know how far away to be from the screen (too close and you cheat, too far and you make it unnecessarily hard! The GCon2 feels quite heavy about halfway through the game too!

 

Silent Hill 4

I've NEARLY completed SH4 after an exhaustive session over the weekend. It really is a GREAT survival horror game, although it can get a bit repitive, although all survival horror games can get that way after a bit.

I'm not stuck on the game as such, just at an annoying bit which isn't neccessarily difficuly, but just a complete head peck.

Near the end of the game, it really get's freaky (obviously, all the SH game do!) but in a way you will NOT expect. But that's a good thing in my book, Survival Horror game's are MEANT to do that.

Their are quite a few different thing's in SH4 compared to the other's, but I won't post anything otherwise Chris will kick my ass! Best going to silenthillheaven.com if you want to find out more. I WILL complete it tonight, come hell or high tide, mark my word's!

Ade, juts had a spooky thought. This tourney will be almost a year to the day of the very first Manchester meet!!!

Remember, I'd been in Manc a week and we were all supposed to meet on the friday. Well what happened was that loads dropped out and it was me you and Rambo. And he went at 7! I met you outisde the Spar and you needed a lighter. Oh yeah Das was a no show cos he'd juts bought SC2. But yeah, almost exactly a year from the first time we had a meet and there were only 3 of us.

Now there'll be ... about 16 or so of us playing!

Funny how things change in a whole year ( 1 year = +13 players...does this mean next year we'll have 29 players at next year's first tourney?. )

LOL, can't believe it's been almost a year, yeah, I remember meeting outside Spar near Blackwell's book shop I remember us playing Kage/Akira matches for hours on end! (And Ramsey leaving at bloody 7!)

This tournie is gonna rule.

Mye's Lau last night was disgusting, I think he might even use him for the tournie, he really is sick with him.

BTW Das said he'll be using someone new for the tournie! Watch this space!

Yeah I was going to ask you about Das seen as though I haven't heard from nor seen him for around 4 months.

Does he not want his Lion file then? Or is it just a ploy to make us think he's dropped him when he hasn't at all.

Oh and who does Mye use as his main, he seems to use loads?

I've not seen Das for AGES, I know who his new character is, I'll txt you it l8er, think it's a 'work in progress' kinda thing.

Mye's all time favourite (from VF1) is Wolf, but he used ONLY Lau in VF3, so those two are the equivalent of Kage/Sarah for me.

He has put his Brad/Aoi on Ice because he want's to concentrate on Wolf/Lau for the upcoming tournie, I personally think he should use Lau, but he say's it depend's who he feel's more confident with on the day.

Yeah I know what you mean about Lion. I was going to juts use Goh solely but then there are already quite a few who use him in our group and it can get quite boring abusing the same old stuff with him.

Juts to let you know the VF stuff would kick off around 1 in the afternoon so yu'd need to be around by then.

Just wondering Chris, should one of us buy the Rocky Soundtrack. It'd be cool to have 'Heart's on Fire' for the 3/4 place. (I think HMV would sell it!).

Great to hear from Das, I thought we'd lost him forever!

I reckon their could be some major upset's in this tournie, hope some of the londoners can oust Shaun/Andy/Dan (remember, out of RESPECT! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif), although with the slight change Chris made to the group's, Group C's Shaun/Mike face off is gonna be a GREAT match, IMHO the best match of the group stage's as they stand.

Remember, Will has just come back from Singapore, so no doubt he's has had some serious VF practice, so I've got a feeling he's gonna cane me! /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I seen a vid of Jide on Mike's Laptop last friday, he look's nuff good. I hate Lion at the best of times, and this will be a hard fight. This is why I'm practising Lion specific stuff at the moment! (And why not, I HATE Lion, the little faggot!).

Ade: I know how much you like to humiliate yourself but it probably isn't a good idea to start swearing at someone for little to no reason. I understand you being pissy at people taking shots at your boyfriend but if I remember correctly you and him were talking shit before he played Shaun last time (check back because I'm damned if I can be bothered doing it) and what happened? He DID get destroyed. It isn't like I'm making it up. 23-0 is awful by anyone's standard. Even YOU don't lose by that much.

If you're wondering why I'm saying this it's mainly to do with Mike's attitude of "I wont play you unless it's for money". Which completely pissed me off at the time and still pisses me off now as it implied that it was already a forgone conclusion that he would win.

That kind of attitude stinks.

Oh and your little comment about Ryan is pointless too. Everyone knows we're not going to beat him. Where has that been disputed? I thought we were playing the game for FUN remember? It's the taking part that counts etc etc etc? Or was that just another convenient change of standpoint from you as well? I know that I will be enjoying the tournament regardless of how well I do. Playing people like Ryan can only be a good thing and if I get owned then so what? That's the best way to see how you need to improve.

Hello elite, by challenging your brother for money I wasn't implying it was a guarenteed win, ofcourse, I was suprised by the level of your brother's skill but the money factor was just an insentive for me to make the journy and to practice. also, i play better when its for a price /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

also, i don't beleive the final score was 23 - 0 when he was using jeff, but somethng like 30 - 10 in the end, if i remember correctly. this is still a serious beat down. However you have to remember i hadn't had a ps2 in over a year and pretty much stopped playing vf along time ago. Also, when he beat me with jeff it was very early in the morning and i hadn't got as much sleep as your brother, (aderien wanted to show me some things, lol, i know it sounds gay)(even ev2 will admit i beat his jeff the night before because i rmember him getting upset and cussing jeff saying he was shit lol) but this is no excuse, he beat me with akira and jacky also.

the thing I don't understand is, why do you guys get angry when ade says he beat ev2 when he faced sarah for the first time but don't take into account this was the first good jacky I have played? seems abit strange...

anyway, i have got a ps2 now and hope to prove myself against the good london and northern players.

The final score may have been 30-10 but it got to about 23-0 before you won your first fight. That's pathetic. It wouldn't matter of course if you hadn't been bigging yourself up before you played. If you hadn't had a PS2/played VF for a while blah blah bitch whine moan, then why would you do this? Your excuses about the money are also bullshit. Whatever your reasons were you still wouldn't play unless it was for money. The only way this is remotely reasonable is if you couldn't afford to come up here without the winnings, and that would prove that you thought/knew you were going to win.

Anyway, I take what you say with a pinch of salt as I seem to remember you flaming Chris just to "get him to come and play you" a while back. Another steaming pile of horse-shit from you.

As for "US getting angry" when Ade says he beat Shaun with Sarah the first time or whatever. Why group us together? I think you'll find that I've argued AGAINST Shaun on this point. Just because I'm his brother doesn't mean we have to agree on everything.
