Ver B FT Akira sounds like he's been toned down quite a bit from ver A. Let's hope that if it's on ver C by home release that he's not gone even weaker.

Does anyone know what the Hori Pro Arcade stick is like? (dunno if that's the right name btw). The one that's black/greyish with the green buttons. I wanna get a new stick as a back up sometime so was wondering if it's any better than just a standard Hori SC2 one.

Ade I may come to Jennys not this sat but the next sat on for a few rounds of Tag.

I want a new stick for Christmas, but I might wait till I go to London at the end of the month and resort to buying any old crap that I find (I also am going to look for PS2 Jap/American CVS2 and US VF3 for my dreamcast!).

It unforetunately look's like Kage is weakened in FT /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif I hope he's still a beast and people discover stuff that they haven't realised yet, although I'm liking the way Lau is looking in FT (his Kokei stance has more moves and his normal moves seem to have more usefulness).

Actually at Mye's yesterday, there is a little kid who is the son of Mye's friend and his Lau is actually quite good, I kinda have a feeling he's gonna be a future VF addict and no, I'm not joking!

I'm hoping Trocadero get's FT for the end of the month (when I hopefully go!) but I won't hold my breath.

Yeah it's honestly much better. Pretty much everyone who's used mines agrees it feels a lot better once you get used to it.

Ok, nice one. I think I'll need to either add it to my christmas wish list and hope someone doesn't mind importing or save up a load of money and buy it in a few months time.

I've actually been told to look into doing a PhD down in Cambridge (and Oxford, Edinburgh, Manchester and Swansea) as they have the best depts for theoretical stuff. I need to start applying sometime after christmas for a place and then cross my fingers they're doing something interesting in the dept.

I've seen some pretty damn good Kage stuff recently on FT, don't think he's as "weak" as people thought he was at first sight. Sarah sounds slightly more evil than Evo and so does Lau as you say.

I agree, it's higher quality than the Hori sticks. But looses points because of its bulk. I was thinking of ordering one until I saw how fucking huge it it.

Yeah, I'll just carry two stick's round London all day! LOL. I'll see what I can do. I have a feeling that the only stick I'll be able to get will be the CVSChaos stick, although it's better than a pad I guess, will that be ok? There 60 quid each BTW, so you better have the cash ready! I'm also gonna get CVS2 on Import from CEX while I'm down there. Actually I'll PM Mike now to ask if I can stay on the Saturday.

Actually, don't worry about it then. I think I'd prefer to stick with my trusted Hori brand than rather the C v SNK sticks, I find them too stiff (ohh matron!). Plus I won't have money for a stick till Jan sometime so don't worry about it.

Really getting into Tag now, using Julia as main and alternating her partner with Jin, Heihachi and Lei.

I've gone into cheese overload with my Devil/Ogre skank team, although I like the following teams as well (Remember I've been playing for ages and obviously am amazing with everyone /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif hmm, not!):

Ogre/Julia
Mainly due to high damage tag combo's between them. (Ogre d, db+4 Tag ffn+1+2)

Devil/Ogre
Devil has the most energy in the game and Ogre has 2nd tier energy. Nuff said.

Julia/Michelle
Double elbow's. Elbow, Elbow and elbow some more.

Any Mishima/Jin
Double Godfists, 1,1,2's, high damage juggles.

Ogre/T.Ogre
No explanation neccessary. Ogre has long reach kick's, The beast has the long reach arms. Plus 1st tier energy for the beast and 2nd tier for Ogre.

Shaun I know it's your opinion and all and as such you can't really argue with a persons opinons, but I think if you saw some of the stuff good players can do in Tag it'd change your mind. It's a really good, solid beat em up to play, not like the broken T4!!

Oh Ade, just been watiching some T5 vids on zaibatsu, I like the look of Julia in it again (elbow time baby) and Asuka looks decent too.

tekken 5 is out in the arcades this week, do you know if they still have the beta in TC and if they're getting the card system? what are the tekken players saying, is Phillip still playing?

Chris: with julia ff1 combos into ff1 and x amount of elbows in tag lol, its hard but its there.

We can play Mye, but only on a Sunday.

We'll be able to play at mine, although in a 'during the day only' capacity (ie get round at midday and play till 8ish). I know it's not perfect, but it's better than nothing. BTW My namco is in heaven now, could you bring a decent spare stick with you? I can pay you back, although I'm going London in two weeks. I'll ring you tonight.

Umer and Phil are still rinsing Tag, can't wait for you to show up and show em how to play the game properly. TC are getting T5, but I doubt it'll have the card system, it'll probably be on those crappy sticks.

I'm assuming I can stay at your's on the 23rd November? I wanna go Casino if possible. I'll ring later.

Hey Mike,

I've been getting into Tag now (if you didn't realise I didn't play it before) as I got hold of an accelerator disc to play the pal version at 60hz. I seen the vids of Julias ff+p started combos and managed to get a couple in myself sometimes but I normally rely on float > ff+p ff+p ff+p etc...lol

Met Umer the other week but didn't play him as I would have been seriously pwned. Said he used to be your old sparring partner. Played him on CvSNK2 tho...and got pwned on that /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Started using Ogres, Jin, Lei and Julia now, Ade next time you're going to the TC let me know and I can try and meet you there (if T5 is back there btw!).

I'll be in town this sat morn so Ade, do you wanna meet in Jennys for a round or two on Tag? About 10.30?
