A lot of new stuff and a few N64/GC games - eg Metroid (GC style) - you point at what you want to fire on the touch pad!

It has so many uses! And you can play GBA games. But not GB games, so no tetris yet. It also links to other DS's wirelessly, and you can have 8 player multiplayer with ONE card (the games come on a card not a cart). It's almost worth using public transport to play it.

Bloody hell, it sound's real good, 8 players on one cart! (No cartridges, nintendo, never thouight I'd hear of that! LOL).

And no tetris WTF? It's the end of the world as we know it, it seems so obscure! When's it out over here and is it backwardly compatable (i.e US/Jap/Europe?)

Completely region free. The cards are actually similar to the memory cards you put in a digital camera, or inside your PS2 memory card.

I imagine there will be a tetris out sometime, just saying that you can't use your 15 year old tetris cartridge (I still played mine, sad!)

Mario Kart DS has 8 player multiplayer and the bottom screen is a map!

Is MarioKart 'new' or the SNES version? It looks really good IMO, although I'm not sure I can justify buying one of the mofo's at the moment.

Got all 100 gang tags/50 photo opportunities in GTA:SA, I now have Molotov Cocktails/Sawn off Shotgun/AK-47/Tec-9's spawning from my kitchen.

I have 14 horseshoe's, but you need the jetpack to get some of em (their up real high), so 50 oyster's tonight baby!

Acually I'm off work tomoz and monday, so might nip in Namco and start a tekken 5 card with Paul, Plus Paul can get Ken's Super Turbo hair and yellow biker outfit, so I HAVE to use Paul now! LOL.

I really wanna get good with King though, cos I used to use him back in 2 and he was a beast in the beta version of Tekken 5 IMO. (He could do 50% juggles with relative ease and he's meant to be a throw based character, mind you, Hwoarrang can do 80% juggles! /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif)

I'm not looking forward to the inevitable Devil-Jin abuse when he get's time released! /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Finished Halo2, the first one is probably better but its pretty good. The multiplayer is lots of fun online /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif You can kill americans!

I dunno what version of Mario Kart it is I think its a new version!

I was planning on just bringing my stick, but if Will can't make it then it's gonna take TOO long to do the tournie if I don't. I'll see what I can do, but at least then we'll be able to play VF2, Thirdstrike and whatever else I think I've got on import.

BTW My mate has VF4 beta on Dreamcast! He say's he really likes it and want's to get into VF now (he's one of Umer's mates). Lucky git, how rare will that be? /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Hmmm, if certain people are not willing to put money in, then we shouldn't really have a tournament for money, or we should say that the four people who get to the finals have to stump up £5/£10/£20.
alternatively we could just have first to 5/10/20 for an agreed fee......
whatever takes people's fancy.


B.t.w. Chris/Ade/Dan/Mike - I'm going to laugh at you guys if you lose to Kain, he has only been playing the game for six months and he doesn't even know what moves of his are throw counter-able; in short, he is a total novice, so if you lose you have absolutely NO excuse!!!!

Ok, I'm sat in my dept (17.07 no less) and meeting Dan in about an hours time.

Ade just rang me and will def be round on the sat and I'm pretty sure Will won't be.

Mike, if you're reading this between now and tomorrow morning, please can you bring your tv and possibley your ps2 and cables etc with you. We're meeting around 10 in the morn but you can call round tonight if you wish, dan will be here with me. If needs be give me a call on 07749 708027.

Ok, Chris, about Kain, the quote you found was from begining of November/end of October, because it was when the guys from Scotland came down, and GTA: San Andreas was out then coz Gray Ham had a go on it............
The only reason he has been registered on this site for so long is so that I can communicate with him over the internet (I can't use messenger services coz then need downloading, and it isn't my computer so I can't fill up the memory).

Impressive. I didn't know whether the reason you did well before was due to the Pad nonsense, but after your performance it's obvious you are a quality player. It's quite strange that you are so good without having anyone to play against, you should definately come to Leeds and stay over the night, then we could get some serious games in.

thought you did quite well. you proved yourself to be able to hold your own within the VF scene.

Sup guys.Really good meeting that was. Ade you had me sweating right until the final round, was a nice match we had.Was getting quite pissed at one point,didnt seem to playing how I usually do but suddenly all came back together.I think Im gonna pick up a new character when (or if) I can be arsed.Tempted by Aoi but it may be cool to pick someone completely different from my Lion-like Wolf.Any suggestions?

If you like the look of Aoi, then try her out. Andy has been playing her a bit and she looks quite good.
I wouldn't recommend Wolf, Jeff, Brad or Goh, as they are considered by many to be the bottom tier characters. they are much worse than the top tier characters and it can be a hinderence. Lau is a good character that I haven't seen anyone in the UK play very well (though I am sure there are somke top players), or you could try Pai, many people think she is top tier, and she has so many moves that you can play her in whatever way you like (because you play Lion, you may want to play her using poking moves and low sweeps). she also has a good throw game.....

Mike, why do you degrade yourself to pathetic threats of violence? I seem to remember you saying that you would beat me up the last time we had an arguement, yet when we met you did nothing. Stating the facts is perfectly fine; you played pathetic, end of. excuses about Sticks being broken are lame, and as you played with two sticks (one of which wasn't yours and was working perfectly fine for everyone else), i don't see your point. If your going to be a cry baby then thats your problem, but issuing pointless threats of violence only reinforces my point that you are pathetic.

Ask Random Hajile, he was at my house a week ago playing hyper on it, he said there was something wrong with it even though i thought he was chatting at the time. I tend to use www.lik-sang.com or www.playasia.com for importing stuff. Both have been decent. Chris/Ade will need to recommend individual sticks.

Incidentally liksang will send me a PSP by Christmas, however it will cost $500. Ouch. Going to have to wait a bit I think /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif
