Yo Dan, Shaun, Kane are you still alive? Been so long since I've seen any of the proper VF heads. Is Shaun still banned does anyone know?

Managed to catch some of the 3S and HSF2 Evo matches online the other day, some were pretty exciting and some as dry as sandpaper lol

Hey Chris, havent checked here in a while. So was Shaun banned from using this site? How come? Yeah that HSF2 vid was totally lame, just shows how limiting your options can be, E Honda couldnt do anything against that pitiful display of dryness. But some 3rd strike matches are equally crap. Well come to think of it so can VF, anyone playing the frankly cheap as fuck Lei Fei needs to pick themselves a proper character hehe no, seriously.

Aaaanyways, what u been up to? I made yet another upgrade on my gfx card in my pc so now I can run a game at 47.5 gazillion polygons a second. Loks damn nice tho, shame noone else here is a pc game-head. Been playing Final Fantasy 10 and 12 which takes up way too much time. Anyone wanna come here and play vf? Nah didnt think so!

 

Yeah Myke was gonna unban him after a week but I think he forgot haha.

Think it was a tourney that happened a while back, not seen it myself but Ade reckons it's top, loads of great play, good collectible. Saw Darius the other day in town randomly, asked if anyone was still playing VF as I think he wants to get back into it in the build up to VF5.

Unfourtunately that's as far as any VF-related happenings around here go. There are a handful of peeps here that play it (especially since Mike is now home) but other games are just more popular with players.

Dan you've been playing FF12? Is that the Jap release then or has the NTSC version come out already? Still a long wait for PAL...

Yeah, that DVD is really good, although I was dissapointed there was no extras, but there is loads of cool play by the japanese players, you can't really complain I guess.

It kinda makes me want to get back into the game, although I'm tempted to learn Blaze in VF5, he looks like a cool mofo, I guess watch this space regarding him.

Hope all the VF heads are cool, I kinda miss playing VF loads, they were some great times.

Hey guys. Chris: I've given up on FF12 as I wanted to understand the story, as it was the Jap version I couldnt understand a damn thing. Been playing Yakuza instead and threw the thing across the room because theres some frustrating shit in it. I've said it before but I'll say it again- when pal release of Kingdom Hearts 2 comes out you should get it. One fine game and goes on for ages. Doesnt anyone else think the sounds in VF5 are really crappy?

 

lol yeah Jap FFs are virtually unplayable unless you're fluent in Japanese.

Big announcement, me, Ade, Mike and Scott are all heading down to Fighters Day 2 on 29th Oct (sunday). We've all signed up for the HSF2 tourney but there are loads of casuals going on for SFA3, SF3:3S, VF4Evo, SF:AA, T5.0, GGXX/, KoFXI, CvS2 etc etc

HSF2!!!!!!! No way! Isnt that game broken to shit? Maybe I'm wrong, I havent played it in years. I thought all the SF heads played 3rd strike and was surprised to see a hsf2 tournament being held. Good luck to all of you and get replays captured!

I'm holding a huge official tournament in my Grandma's flat.

The winner from each of these games will go into a grand final battle royal on the main event game:

CLOCKWORK KNIGHT!

The winner of the grand final will receive a blank audio cd, three multi-coloured pens and a calculator watch!

There will be cucumber sandwiches, party sausages, frazzles, flake cakes and homemade lemonade available to all, and everyone will get a goodie bag to take home, each with it's own keyring!

All applicants PM me, I'm only allowed 6 people over, so I'll have to pick the coolest people to come.

Yeah HSF2 is broken but it's what people are playing until the arcade perfect port of ST comes out next year in Capcom Classics Collection 2.

There are only 2 official tournaments, one for HSF2 and one for MvC2. However there are casuals being held on the list I gave before:

SFA3
SF:AA
NeoGeo Battle Coliseum
VF4Evo
T5.0

There's a whole host of people going from NE, RBUK, TZ and a few from here I would imagine.

It's run from 12 in the afternoon till 11 at night, £5 entry. Plus it's being held in a Yates' Bar so there is food and drink available all day. There's plnety of time to sort travel and accomodation etc which is why a lot of us here are doing it NOW to ensure everything goes smoothly.

 

Well, the more the merrier IMHO, I'm personally looking forward to it tons, not had a trip down souf' for a while now (since Feb) and TBH I have tons of days to use for my hols.

 

I know I've been banging on about all sorts of games but fuck that, Okami is fiiiinally out in the shops so go buy it! Ive just bought my copy and its supposed to be amazing. Reviews say its game of the year good. Brilliant idea for a game,go buy it!

Its a game that Ive been waiting for ages for, you play as a Wolf and it is played similar to Ocarina of time but the great thing is you have to 'draw' with a brush using the right analog stick to create stuff like bridges so you can procede, and use the brush to defeat enemies n stuff. Its all really well done. I posted about this game yonks ago and its so good its finally available. Get it!

 

Looks damn good, would love that game, might have a look for it 'market at the weekend.
