if you can consistently do any combo better than knockdown --> down attack, block 2 mids in a row, and evade you are leagues ahead of quash.

Fuck VF. I'm done with it unless we see R. I'm only going to waste my time trying to play SF2/HDR/SF4 at future gatherings until further notice (it's either that or I quite the genre all together at this point).

Yo Haunts, you still go to State on Weds nights to play SF4?

I really need to learn how to play this shit, as it is annoying enough that asking for advice about SF at an Arcade from random people sucks, because:

1. It throw people off to ask how to play SF (2Ds) as everyone in the world except me knows how to play them.
2. The usual arcade player isn't willing to sit down with me a give me a one-on-one Sebo-style explanation.

Also, I wish there was a dual stick for this game, 8 gates for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif motions and a 4 for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif -____-. just play melty blood. it's the one game where mashing buttons in the middle of combos actually makes you take less damage (seriously).

also, don't most of the cabs IN AMERICA use happ 360's? that's the problem right there.

 

hey man i go either or wed or thursdays around 6:30ish.. I can call you.. I dont mind helping out, id just say pick a character and stick with them.

 

I'm stuck between Dal and C. Viper for non-charge and Bison if I learn how to charge attacks.

Partly because I hear Dhalsim is a turtle character, C.Viper still looks awesome, and Bison is well... Bison (oh and MK and HK!!!!).

 

hell, i havent touched vf in months honestly. but im still lookin for that r, even if it takes awhile.

Yes.. she is good but technical and requires a bit of "thinking outside the box" in terms of street fighter goes. She also takes a lot of damage, so you have to play keep away until the opponent screws up then switch to rushdown mode pretty quickly. She can stun the opponent very quickly if you get her mix up down.

She loses very badly to M. Bison though. His standing mk and hk beats almost everything that she has. He can also ex siccor kick between her pokes strings.. Like if I do c.mk xx thunder knuckle and he blocks the c.mk he can do ex scissor and beat my thunder knuckle. you have to play real smart and tricky against bison.

Oh, but Dhal is hella fun and I seriously can't play charge characters.

Anyone know if Sakura is a charge character?
