Hey guys, this is uh... DKL from Freedemonia.

Had a lot of fun at the STA tournament; sorry I had to jet right after my matches, but my ride had been waiting for me for like 40 minutes at that point lol.

But, yes, I will try to make it to like stuff that you guys do, though primarily SF, maybe...

I'm not very mobile because I always bum rides to SF for the Freedemonia meets.

ANYWAY, yes, I'm registered now yo.

    Hello Norcal VF.

    EDIT:

Also, yes, we have VF5 at Freedemonia:

At least, I make sure it gets played every week.

(though, there have been times where I would play the thing online at a session; lawlz)

Also, Romon, if you see this, do you think you can link me to the converter for your pad that you were using for the tournament?

I need to get on dat.

Good stuff to everyone who showed up last night. It was great to see all the new faces. Hope to get at least as many people next time!

Where does Freedemonia run? SFSU? I'll definitely swing by sometime if VF is getting repped.

DKL I don't remember which converter romon uses but I have an extra pelican...its the ps2 > ps3 converters that were discontinued long ago and became a hot item in 09 era of SF4 and was one of only a couple that had no lag.

If that's the type your looking for its yours for $25. I haven't seen one on eBay in a long time.

If you are looking for pad converters try Etokki.

They make PS2/PS3 and PS2/X360 converters.

Etokki is the new standard for converters...I have the older ps2>360 adapter and it works great aside from needing a licensed Xbox controller for it to work.

The newer ones don't need one so they are definitely worth it

do these converters work with sticks if so how do they avoid the lag and dropped inputs while i did have fun and a pretty good showing at STA (no mercy round 1) i was having combos dropped in mid basic string string combos

Yea Mark me too I felt the input lag on at least 1 of the stations. Was missing alot of my easier combos.

I think those USB extender adapters caused some of it. Definitely helps to warm up to get used to the timing there. The streamed setup felt better than the other 2 at least but there needs to be some kind of consistency.

Yea they work with any ps2 pads or sticks...no lag at all

I might have to start throwing ranbats at my house soon since I'm adding a 4th setup the weekend after next. Also talked to Haunts a bit about streaming from there.
