As far now the reviews are fucking extremely high!!!!
Some of my friends who had seen the regular version are going to see IMAX version afterward~

Hey guys, very new to the VF community. Had some interest in the game for a couple of years, SEGA's lack of console release kinda putting a damper (and not even CTF getting the game due to more silliness). Heard on SRK that there was a NYC scene here so I came around.

I want to get into the game. It wouldn't be my primary game, especially since the latest version isn't on ANY console. Also, I have a PS3, but not a 360, and will not get a 360 stick or a 90 dollar converter. What do you guys recommend I buy/do?

 

CTF...aah those were some good times.... when they had VF.

anyway, welcome to the NYC scene. well the latest version (on console) is VF5 version C, only on xbox if you play on stick (please say you do!) then i recommend you get yourself a VSHG stick of the SF4 TE stick, best of the best.

for more info, im sure a few of my fellow nyc vfers will be happy to answer all of your questions.

 

Yeah I play on stick, but as I said, although aware of the Xbox having the later version, will not get it/stick.

While it's kind of expensive I recommend you get a SF4 TE stick for the Xbox 360. Once you get one (again if you can afford it) I would get it dual modded to work on both PS3 / Xbox 360.

It's best if you pick up the Xbox version of the stick as it's easier to mod. I own the stick, but still need to get it dual modded and I have to say it's bad ass.

As for the NYC, well it's kind of in a hibernating state at the moment. Everyone is pretty much waiting for VF5R.

 

Right now I have a HRAP 2 for PS2 with PS3 converter. About how much you think it would be to get the 360 dual mod in that way?

And sadly, that's what I expected, I do hope by VF5R ver. C there's a console release plan.

 

Well there are a few people here on the boards who can probably mod the stick for you. I'm not sure there price range but it's probably at most $50 or so plus you will have to pay for shipping most likely. But I'm sure if you sure around there are probably tons of people who can do it locally here in the city.

Also I think you meant to say VF5R because VF5 ver. C is already out... that's the Xbox 360 version that everyone currently plays. I don't know anyone who plays the PS3 (ver. B) one anymore.

 

No I meant the VF5R ver C. Ver B of VF5R is the version in Japanese arcades.

I've been real patient playing with this ex2, my first goal when I go into NY is to find a TE stick and buy that shizz. No way I'm not going

 

TE sticks are on amazon, plenty of them

 

I can't seem to get anything I order anymore somehow... this is kinda me killing 2 birds with 1 stone/avoiding the actual problem
