I had a great time playing with you guys this past weekend. Thankyou Shang, Siyko, Smurfu, Hyun, Dobi, Tikki, Kung, and Jerky for taking some time out for VF and making me feel welcome.

The team battle was fun, Team International (Hyun, Kung, Siyko, Myke) convincingly beat Team China (Dobi, Tikki, Smurf, Shang). The neat thing was I didn't have to play as Siyko cleaned up in the end /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Many of us here at VFDC understand that Jerky and Shang have some communication issues, but I got to experience it, and the consequences, first hand. On Saturday we went downtown for lunch (the clam chowder was delicious!) and a little walk around. We decided to drop by Jerky's work place to say hi since we were in the area. Shang calls up Jerky to make sure he's at work, and it turns out that he is so we agree to go meet him.

We arrive at the Museum of Science and the plan was, according to Shang, that Jerky would meet us in the Lobby. So we waited. And waited. Jerky's a no show. Shang calls Jerky again, and learns that he isn't at work today, but at home! *sigh* So we leave the Museum and head to Jerky's place instead. For a minute there I sympathised with Shang, and his frustration at Jerky.. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif RAINMAN!

But it turned out better than expected in the end, because Jerky decided to come back with us to the hotel to play that night. And we had some good games!

Again, it was a great weekend. Shang never shuts up in the car (or anywhere really). When he wakes up in the morning, we're all thinking about food, and he's like, "who wants to play VF with me?" Good games, Shang, thanks for playing host around town and helping me taking pictures while I was driving.... even if you did get carried away in the tunnel..... /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Dobi, Tikki, Kung, you guys are great players with lots of potential. Keep practicing, and hopefully I'll see some of you at evo?

Siyko, our Kage mirror matches were always.. interesting /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif You gotta stop kneeing so much with Wolf though! I'm really impressed with your skill considering you're a late starter! Despite what Shang likes to tell everyone here, I think you owned him pretty bad this weekend! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hyun, nice to have a chance to finally get some games in with you! Unlike at the tournament! Hopefully you start playing more of Evo with the others too.

Smurfu, thanks for the company dude and if you don't mind I'm gonna borrow that "smurfu-SPoD" technique /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif And yeah, the Boston women are really something!

I'm unable to make it to Toronto /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

This coming weekend is my 2nd last weekend here and I'll be needing to pull some overtime in order to get everything done before I head back home.

I'm so bummed because I was really looking forward to visiting TO again.
