Why can't he be critical of his own government without involving a known terrorist?

you guys know that osama isn't actually recognized by the FBI for 9/11 right? theres no hard evidence linking him to it
and he has apparently denied it, and attacking civilians isn't really his MO the tapes were probably fake:

To sum up that last link - Apparently the dude in tapes was shorter, fatter, had a differently shaped nose, different colored beard, different skin color, and was right handed Bin Laden, as noted on FBI page, is left handed.

He is still a terrorist though so its good that we caught him although dumping the body into the ocean, which although had legitimate reasoning, is still suspicious.

Either way, I don't see us catching bin laden as a win. Maybe if we did it BEFORE we spent a shitton of money, killed a shitton of civilians, ruined our own economy, and put TSA in airports (which actually doesn't even stop anything) it would be a win...

 

Yes, the crimes of the US National Security State dwarf bin Laden's crimes, even if we accept that he was behind 9/11, which is disputable. The Iraq War alone was several orders of magnitude worse than 9/11.

That is not an endorsement of OBL. One does not have to "pick one."

The Schoolhouse Rock rendering of American Democracy is not really appropriate. The system is corrupted; imperial interests have effective veto power over anyone who could get near the Presidency.

I also have known a congressman, met several more, and known many people who worked on different Senatorial and Congressional staffs. Many of these are good people, but the system at heart operates on a whole different level.

One should not think of "government" and the "National Security State" in the same way.
