Oh my...I finally have a copy of the game. Let's just say it's blown away all prior expectations. A perfect port of the arcade version would've been enough to justify the cash outlay for me, but the amount of extras they've included makes the purchase almost absurd. “Here, have a perfect rendition of a £3000 arcade machine plus a whole shed-load of extras for £35.99…†*ch-ching*

Now this is a real racing game. Accessible arcade handling with depth, lavish scenery, perfect presentation and that certain indescribable magic only the best Sega racers sport. No suspension tweaking, no driving around dull real-life circuits, no adjusting ride heights.....just the sheer escapism of powering a Ferrari through scenery that makes your eyes bleed (that's bleed as in weep for joy).

Time attack scores to follow....

Oh, and if I hear another remark on internet forums along the lines of "Outrun 2 is so shallow, Burnout 3 is much better", I'll take extreme pleasure in shoving your retarded casual-gaming head up your arse.

 

damn I can't wait till it drops North American side. As soon as I get my copy I will be looking for everyone on LIVE. I can't wait to get some good races in as well as challenge some time attacks. Enjoy man!
