Thanks for the suggestions guys. I've opted to just use the controller seeing as it probably isn't worth buying a wheel for one game. That and also I've gotten all the achievements. (main reason why I wanted better control)

Btw, I use the x/a setup for shifting. I rest my entire thumb over both buttons and can shift pretty quickly.

  3. yeah, i've seen other players doing the same on youtube :) and that way of shifting is also verry good. the problem with me is, i have grown used to the E setup. so if i am to swap button layout now, i'd be needing to learn proper gearshifting all over again, as i will probably press the wrong buttons once in a while :) but, i'll give it a try, just for laughs :-D

  4. newsflash ;-)

after watching some time trial and outrun clips on youtube (from both segaspence and F40) i have learnt how play with the ms force feedback wheel:

1> don't play with the adaptor, instead use battery's or accupack, so the wheel has no resistance while turning quickly.

2> set the sensetivity on 4 (middle), as the wheel has a bigger turn, you can use the little bit extra sensetivity.

keep your hands near the flappy pedals that operates the gears. it takes some getting used to, but in the end gear changing and shift drifting becomes second nature.

my lines are much smoother now, and i drive more consistent with the wheel, but, to be honest, i haven't improved a time trial yet, but, verry close :) but in the end i guess i will topple one of my own scores.
