Pai's strengths.

I'm fairly inexperienced but this sounds absolutely ridiculous.

 

I remember we used to joke about 12f mids. As in "LOL akira's so underpowered, bodycheck should be 12f unpunishable mid fullcircular". Instant shoutbox hilarity

Pai's has 3 out of 4 criteria down. It's a 12f mid that's -6 on block. And while it doesn't knock down on normal hit, it's not on negative frames either (+2).

...i was going to add "And at +2 pai's or will beat most moves" but then i realized so will a second

Yeah the thread was about Vanilla, and it's a very old thread. (2 years ago...)
At the time, all I knew about Pai was from quick dojo mode and watching all these Pai players constantly try PPP2K and seeing it fail all day.
She really seemed like a worthless character that had no chance to win, except against complete newbies who could not react to the slow sweeps.
And like I said it was long ago, so there is no need to tell me how or why that's wrong now!

When I checked my old post history, I noticed that I was your everyday generic scrub, and I was very ungrateful too. I regret that this thread is still "alive".

Hmm, pretty sure her + was special mid in R, did they change it in FS? If so, that's retarded.

 

People seem to be forgetting about the wall splat after +. lol
