They cover a lot of the issues that may arise on this topic so I pasted everything in rather then discuss issues as they prop up, not how a discussion forum works I know.

Yes but the difference between the Bhuddha and rent-boy Bin Laden, is after going through his life transformation the Buddha didn't go about preaching death and damnation to those who continued to live materialistically.

Maxi, you are fundamentally misunderstanding bin Laden and his message. He does not attack the U.S. and Britain for what we are , but what we do .

He has given up a life of material luxury for the life of a militant holy warrior. I obviously don't support his methods, but reducing him to the caricature that the mainstream media creates helps no one. Indeed it is dangerous because it does not allow an honest discussion of the situation at hand.

Unfortunately, an honest appraisal of bin Ladenism requires scrutinizing some of our most sacred cows, in short, Israel and the Petroleum industry.

Anyone who wants a better understanding of bin Laden should read Imperial Hubris. It is written, as I said before by the CIA's top expert on the man. The author is not a vegan pacifist or any other kind of starry eyed idealist. What he does offer is deep analysis without creating a picture that has been altered to conform to his agenda or prejudices.
