Yeah, the quest mode sure helps alot when trying to see what is messing you up. About the whole watching the character thing, do you people really think about that? It just happens all in my head, I don't really think about it. And to be honest, if you spend too much time trying to think about who to look at and when, that might mess you up.

    Hi Neko,

IMO, how well you play has to do with some of the factors below:

    1. Experience and Knowledge - Do you know what can be done with different characters and how to effectively counter it? Do you know the frame stats and properties of moves and throws for different characters?

    2. Practice - Can you do what you want when you want? Do you have problems executing moves and combos? Can you recognize what your opponent is doing quickly and take appropriate counter measures?

    3. Physical condition - If you are tired and stressed it will really affect your reflexes and thinking.

    4. Adaptibility - Can you adjust to your opponents play style in a short time or do you employ the same tactics for everyone?

That has to be one of MY main problem is I always have a tough time ajusting to a player's style if it varies too much from other people that play the same character. I just apply the same strategies for all players depending on character they use...maybe that's why I get so stuck sometimes.

The way to improve on that is to first act like you are really giving your true tactics and see how your opponent responds. Most people fall for this and it gives you an advatage into how their style is.

See what they consistently do like pokes or throw attempts etc., and then capitalize on the next round.

Just make sure that you don't become too predictable in your strategy of adaptation.
