PSN Good Games

GGs to Myth_boy6 (Very aggressive Lei fei!), HotRod666, and JoninAssassin for the games late last night!

Edit: Also ggs to DarkSoul, Le-ang_yeoh, JudyJetson, and a few others that I may have played last week.

Yes, saw Myth_boy6 for the very first time today. Very strong Lei player. JoninAssassin though, are you kidding? LOL. He doesn't even fight me anymore. Once I prove that I won't fall for his reversal and Tenchi spam, he refuses to fight. Hard to believe you fought for more than one match.

Also, saw a-Jacky-jk and Niya-ri (or something) for the first time today. Never saw the former (he's an English-speaker, though), and recognize the latter from a replay. Very strong players on PSN today. It was great.

Nope. I have never had a problem with JoninAssassin dodging or anything. But, then again, with Tenchi stance being as risky as it is, getting caught by your 50% max combos is bound to make anyone who isn't too careful mad hehe

 

not to turn this into a bg's thread, but I just played a game with joninassassin and he dropped pretty blatently, it was a rank up match for him and I went 2 rounds up on him, when it was clear he wasn't going to win, gone. I doubt it was a lag disconnection due to the perfect bars and perfect performance in the first 2 rounds.

infact, DEFINITE drop, dood refused me for rematch.

I'm still grounded! I have all my grades up already so there's no good reason to still be grounded, but they're the boss so...

 

This is what I mean! Back when I didn't have much Aoi experience, this guy had no problems fighting me. I wasn't immediately reacting to break ground throws after being knocked down, and getting caught by that stupid jumping move forcing crouch to a low throw. Also was pretty easily caught by Tenchi and reversals. But now, everything he does is so predictable, and so he refused my match.

@Valakrie: Yeah, Tenchi can be pretty risky, especially against characters such as Brad and Vanessa who have good counter hit lows. However, if I may say, I don't think that you use it enough. I've thought that it was because you wanted to avoid being a scrubby Aoi player. But if you watch players such as kingo, they use it pretty effectively, which opens the door for Aoi to do many other things. Your defense is solid, so adding Tenchi in the right spots will make it even better. Aoi without Tenchi is kind of like Brad without his stances. Both can be very risky, but they are big parts of their games. That being said, maybe you're using it more now. It has been a bit since we've last played.

You actually make a very good point, and the truth is that I probably don't use it enough. To be honest I think I am used to not overusing it since as you said, it is kind of scrubby (Unless they like to continuously use standing P, strings, and other things that just beg me to use it lol). Against more advanced players though, I'm looking at half my life depending on how I am able to read them, so I am always weary of that. It may take some time to apply it in the right areas against certain players, some characters like Shun also make it a little difficult to apply due to their move properties. We should play sometime, I want to see how you have improved as well!

 

ggs everyone I ran into in ranked tonight, lots of people around my level which is nice. Usually it's either doods who destroy me or terrible mashers.

I won't mention names because I don't remember all of them and I don't wanna leave anyone out, but if we played at all... ggs....

except some angry gentleman with a banana name, that guy was talkin shit he's actually better than I thought he would be, I won more but his wilding out caught me off guard for sure. He's nowhere near where he thinks he is, but he is better than tuchmaballz at this point.

ggs to you too, martian. Good to hear that pokey Taka won't be around forever, I liked the old martian Taka better but I understand it's a good thing to experiment and learn new things about your character. As for playing as Jacky, wtf man, I feel kinda betrayed...

Yup, hopefully soon. I still can't get into a flow from the pokes into something substantial that's why I end up with either spamming Taka's elbow or just going into more pokes!
Hey Libertine, been playing against your brad the most using the pokes, how are the pokes on your end, does it look spammy or just plain WTF?

BTW, on using Jacky, I just got lucky against generalripper. Going Lion is the bigger betrayal tho

Anyways, ggs to all rankers this week, A lot of low rankers that are suspiciously very good, smells like alt accounts or must be a lot of people coming to psn, practicing for the coming Sega Cup.
