PSN Good Games

just learning about goh. hes hard to use. i haven fought many taka before, not really used to it... its wierd fighting taka cause he cant be knocked down and the combos are so mad! makes me wanna learn. and taka has many cool outfits!!

 

Playing with Koenraku has taught me that carefully timed button presses and not pushing any buttons at all are exactly the same thing. ggs.

Feii, learning Taka might just be the best decision you'll ever make.

And yes, he does indeed have the best outfits, if I do say so myself.

Hell no, I'm not calling you spammer at all- sorry that post was poorly worded. I meant that I felt absolutely powerless to do anything, I would eat every single attack regardless of how I tried to counter or evade. It didn't look like you were abusing that dick punch, either.

 

Modelah, against you and martianpulis I feel that I can't interrupt anything Taka does. I occasionally get that against Elite, but it goes back and forth.

@martianpulis, I feel that I can't do anything against Taka. Against your Jacky it's fine though, but only because your offense isn't refined. You throw some unsafe stuff out there. Keep practicing, though. It's what I'm doing with Sarah now.

 

The connection you see when you see a person doesn't dictate how laggy the match will be all the time. I have played people in Japan as 1 example and it was playable eventhough it was a completely gray connection. Was it perfect no but that won't happen unless you play someone in the same state as you in the same area or play offline. I have also played 3 bars that are actually 1 bars or worse and the initial 3 bar indicator was how it was at the time when I looked because it will flunctuate. The ISP has something to do about it too. I have played people on the west coast that the connects were unplayable and others where they are about as good as a East Coast connection. The same goes with Euros too. There are settings we can do to reduce the lag considerably as well but I think the real factors here isn't distance it is how good the ISP is and how your system is set up more than anything else. If Feii's connection is as good as he says I might give it a try to see if it is playable even though it will show as grey. If his connection runs anything like Rikojjang's Korean connection I wouldn't mind it at all.

As always there is always the randomness that is PSN too it might me decent 1 day and terrible the next we wanted online VF on PSN we got it. We have to learn to deal with it I guess

 

I'd say most of the time the bars are a good indicator of how laggy the games will be, I agree I've tried some games that should have been unplayable but were actually quite nice, but in general most of the time a grey bar will be bad and 3 green will be nice.

sometimes a 3 bar connection will be shitty, but that's usually due to wireless connection or someone else on their network leeching bandwidth with downloads or streaming videos or something.

The bars basically mean how quick the other persons playstation responds to your playstations beacon, so a wireless connection will still respond quickly which would mean under perfect conditions it WOULD be a good connection, but since wireless is inconsistent and drops packets or whatever, it can still be laggy.

so yeah bars mean something, but unfortunately there are still a few factors that can make a game laggy despite them.

 

The majority of the online games with bad connection (zero bars) I have had, played pretty decent. But then again, you can't trust PSN and it's connection hicupps!

Was it lag? It seemed ok to me but now that you mention it, I had a feeling I was getting away with a lot more than I really should have. Mind you, knowing only the online scene I don't tend to notice any kind lag until things get real jittery onscreen so what's laggy to you may seem ok to me. I hope we can still play each other as I enjoy our matches.
