GG's to Tiripsm. There was some awesome matches in there, sorry I had to leave so abruptly though. I had to go open the door so I just threw in the towel.

GG's to HotRod66? I know it's HotRod something. You had me a few times in there but I held down the fort :p

GGs to you as well! I can't really comment on the constant use of the Sabaki's and Tenchi but, I'd say that it is kind of hard not to use them against certain play styles (Especially when in relation to Akiras online). Also hey, what ever happened to Dante? I miss playing him. ;)

GGs to KyleVF, too. A very strong Vanessa, especially when our connection is much better in some matches!

Very good games to Alstein last night as well, who is actually one of my favorite people to play at the moment in Ranked. You have a very careful and defensive play style (With the use of a lot of safe and plus-frame moves), so it really forces me to approach the game in a different way than from what I am used to. Many of our matches were close but, in a number of them you just outplayed me and capitalized on many of my stupid mistakes (wake-up kicks especially...). Playing players like you and Libertine is also teaching me to focus less on using less formidable strategies that involve Aoi's cancels (which have always had holes in them, but I really get carried away sometimes), as well as some of her ranged moves (66P, 66K, etc).

We should do player matches sometimes! However, I will admit that I like feeling the impact of each loss on my end, with our ranks being in the same category and all. :)

Actually, I don't think he's anything special. He definitely doesn't get the VF system as I landed MC after MC in all fights I played. The name sounds familiar though, Daigo Umehara, a veteran SF player, used to play under that name on Xbox Live.

OOOHHHHH, I was wondering when I was going to run into you! Welcome to the VF community! I saw you on the Introduce yourself forum. Well, it would be fun to fight you again some time too. I'm grounded until summer so I won't get to play for 8 straight hours until then. For now I'll just have to sneak on whenever I can. If you send me a friend request, I'll accept it. I need to get knowledge about Wolf sometime...

    (fuck the burning hammer)

So what direction should I just hold down? 6?

Versus most Wolfs it's not a bad idea to 6 right from the start. Atleast do that until the guy proves he knows how to do the other stuff...

No point in eating a Burning Hamburger at the start of the match.

I thought you can break Burning Hammer in multiple directions considering the damage it does...

I am unaware of such sorcery. Burning Hammer can be done in 2 different directions [8][4][2][6] or [2][4][8][6], but either way ends in [6]. So that's the break.

So wait, can Wolf players mix that up? or is it either way they put the input in you break it with [6]?

For all normal standing, crouching throws, and ground throws, you can break the throw by inputting the last direction of the throw + [P][+][G].

So since either of those directions end with [6], you break both by pressing [6][P][+][G]. As far as I know, there are no exceptions to this rule. However, this clearly does not work with catch throws and other fancy stuff...

 I know that, that's like day one stuff. But I didn't know if there were any special things that hinder breaking a Burning Hammer or make it easier considering the damage it does...

As far as I know, BH is just a normal throw with a normal throw escape command. The only difference is it does a stupid amount of damage.

it executes much slower than a regular throw, meaning you can crouch it at larger disadvantage. You can do stuff like 33G~4~P at -8 and you'll break F5, duck under BH and get back up in time to guard anything slower than an elbow. Wolf can still use GS, P+G, catch throws or even delayed low throws (ie the usual Wolf rape damage if he guesses right) but it's still nice to play with.

The fact that it's slower can help Wolf vs fuzzy etc though (sort of like a catch throw) so be careful of that and dont get caught doing nothing on the end of your defensive techs too often.

edit: oh and I forgot to mention you can use your own 4 direction throw to beat his BH and catch throws for speed and it will break his F5 etc at the same time. Still loses to GS, P+G and gets owned by any strike but again, useful to know. Credit to whoever posted that before because I'm pretty sure I read it on here somewhere.

haha I sense fear!!!! against wolfey you will always try to escape Forward+p+g since his most damaging throws are escaped forward: giant swing and burning hammer.
