I've gotten a lot of questions online, so I'm going to answer them now:

Rally2040: player match?

pwick: Is there a trick to always guessing the right throw?

Me: No, and I think that people overestimate my throw escape ability!

Dollomite: How come I can't escape your green combos?

Me: Because I'm not making green combos. That stuff actually connects.

Dollomite: How come my attacks miss you?

Me: Some attacks are designed to evade certain moves. Brad's Ducking K+G avoids lows, for instance.

Dollomite: Do you have ESP?

Me: No.

KishinRuler: Do I still eat combos?

Me: No. I think you've gotten a lot better! You used to throw out a lot of unsafe moves. Maybe Jean suits you better.

KyleVF: I heard you were talking about Tomiyoshi. Is this true?

Me: Uh... yeah.

KyleVF: Do you know who he is?

Me: I'm only guessing that it's Cha-mame3.

KyleVF: Who is ToyDingo?

Me: BrodiMAN.

There are 2 problems with the majority of stuff you mentioned above and why "We are so far behind the japanese..."

1 - The very large majority of that stuff is damn near impossible to do in an average online match (especially on PSN). How Chamame or Yomi (and a few others) are able to pull that off so well during laggy matches is a mystery to us common folk...

2 - A quick look at the PSN leader boards shows that about 98% of the population is ranked Assassin or below. Rank doesn't mean much (especially online), but it is a generally "ok" indicator of skill or game knowledge. For most players I meet online, developing any kind of a meta game is damn near impossible. Most players, when they are put on defense, hit the panic (2P) button. Others for some reason believe that there is no such thing as "disadvantage", etc etc etc. So using many of these techniques are useless as you can win by simply playing frame tight or mashing harder than the other guy.

The reason we are so far behind the japanese is the environment we have to play in (online) is terrible, and the general knowledge of the game is lacking in the west. I'm not sure either of those problems can be fixed in the near future.

So, fuck it, just have fun...

Hey guys, a lot of you have been inviting me to rooms and I haven't been replying. Sorry about that. I might be in the middle of a match or something when I get invited, and often I just want to replay the same person before he gets somebody else. So I don't take the time to reply. If I try to join a room, it's annoying to leave Ranked and to keep refreshing the screen until I find that the room is open to join. Also, I sometimes leave my console on while I leave my room to do something else. Between those three things, I usually don't respond.
