I don't say much in GG overall but Riq gets a special mention because it is first legit Pai I fought in a long time and the connection was playable too. There was still the usual online issues but it was very enjoyable. I gave him some tips too and I am really hyped for the offline set I want to have with him when I get to NY eventually. It should be an interesting set overall. GGs to Prep too, it was laggy but I saw a decent Van in development there.

GGs fellow gaijin Tobyon who showed me how to do the Lazy Throw Escape Option Select thingy. Basic, Basic, BASIC VF stuff that I've read about, heard about and even translated from Japanese to English but somehow just went over my head until we talked about it in our player match today. Thank you for showing my dumb ass how it works. THOUSANDS of games under my belt and I'm just learning this shit now. Not that I'll be able to do it well anyway, though. LOLOLOL, Good Lord what am I doing.

GGs BLACKSTAR, it was great meeting you. Though not the best connection I'm glad things stayed playable during our set, I had a blast! I even did one of them fancy throw escapes ON PURPOSE (after BLACKSTAR kindly TOLD ME he throws in one direction). It was amazing to see your shoutbox messages appear during our matches; I couldn't glance at the screen, let alone type- the man has X-Men typing abilities!

So yeah, I had a great VF day today!

GGs @Libertine in player match. I think I got use to your brad... I THINK lol. I was working on my 6p back dash whiff punish. I can see it works lol. I need to work on it more.... But those wall combos though was ridiculous lol

 

Ha, fair enough.

 

I noticed that you were doing that, but I was too tired to adapt to it. Back dashing will cause throws and his circulars, most importantly 6_K, to whiff. This makes it a pretty strong option. The problem is that if you become too predictable with it I can use 3K into a big combo. I'd use fuzzy guarding sometimes so I can't get you every time with it. GGs.

If you can confirm a whiff with pai you should either be doing her standing kick or 33P+K for a combo every time. If you mistime it and they block it you can always react afterwards with something because 33P+K is -8 and Pai standing kick is -9 I think. 6P is a good option there too but if you really want to make them pay for whiffing 33P+K or K would be your best option or you could just do a raw launcher or 66KP too but those aren't safe if you mistime it.You also TE from what I saw from my set with you so you should be okay in that area too. Just some friendly advise. Keep up the improvement overall and I hope you took my advise I gave you to heart earlier

Yea I am taking your advice. I was working on my timing for punishing. I was using standing kick for the punish. Yea 66kp looks a little too risky to time. But I can always stop at 66k if I see it's been blocked lol

 

66kp is not risky at all because you can hit-check it. Really easy too with the stagger confirmation.

 

Hmm than I should try. But this is online we're talking about lol.
