RAIDER combo video!

Raider, if you were a god I would worship you for at least one week for this marvelous video. The combos combined with the music are really well placed. Though you guys should see some capcom vs snk 2 video made by xerocrew... That was the best combo video i've ever seen. Yes it's 2d, but the music Love Phantom combined with the videos (they didn't get those videos from the game, the made them themselves) is just awsome.

However, your video is just a great video Raider, nice job. Keep up the good work.

Note: Why are brad moves so fucking smooth?? Man, it almost makes me horny, /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

GAH!!! WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE RAIDER!! How could you do that!!?? You wrote Kick Boxing at the beggining of the video!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's Muay thai! Muay thai differs from kickboxing, because you can use elbows and knees, and you can't do that in kickboxing (unless it's some stupid kickboxing...). Please, if u're able to: change that as quick as possible /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

One More thing: i've done Ju Jutsu, and...uh...kage maru doesn't do ju jutsu...he does hagakure-ryu Ju-Jutsu, OR Ninjutsu. Just because you see Ju Jutsu in Hagakure-Ryu Ju-Jutsu it doesn't mean he does that oki? Thanks for the attention, hehe.

About the “kick boxing†and “Ju-Jutsu†stuff that you mentioned, I’m afraid that it’s a bit late to change those details.
I looked closely here at VFDC before deciding what to write in the names of the martial arts section in the video.

It stands Ju-Jutsu for Kage and Kick Boxing (Muay Thai) for Brad; I might have done an error here by writing “Kick Boxing†instead of “Muay Thaiâ€Â. /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Unfortunately I’m not that updated inside the different styles of martial arts, so it would be difficult for me to know that the style that Kage-Maru uses inside “Ju-Jutsu†is “Hagakure-Ryu Ju-Jutsuâ€Â.

Holy cow!I just downloaded that xerocrew combo video ( not to take ant credit away from raider on his thread ) but holy shit those ryu/ken/akuma combos are sick.I haven't played any street fighter 2 games for ages but I'm gonna have to back into them now. I'm glad you like it snape. By the way, if you're going back to street fighter, take a look at ign's ps2 site, and look at the Street fighter section. You might find some street fighter 4 stuff..

And don't forget to buy a Soul Calibur 2 Arcade stick, or a Guilty Gear XX Arcade Stick. Both are great. And the combos you saw are made by pros, i've tried one but it's almost impossible...just check out the Evolution video to see some more of those sick combos. /versus/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

 

Errrr..are you a mind reader or something as I've just put an order in for a SC2 stick as it's released over here at the end of summer ( about a month or two behind vf evo ) and I've already got my eye on GGX2 though don't know when it's relesed.The problem with GGX2 though is that I've seen loads and loads of videos for it but at times I can't tell what the hell is going on!I'll be sure to check out that street fighter stuff though /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

 

I have the sharper version availabe, but I'll have to get back to y'all on hosting it. The quality is honestly pretty close between the divxed version and the original mpeg. If bandwidth and disk space is not a concern, I can keep it as mpeg or encode it as divx at double the bitrate for max quality.

 

CreeD, btw, everytime i open a video (like raider's) and then without closing the divx player, i open the same video, and the second (both beeing in divx player) has MUCH better quality. But only if i keep it in 100% size. If i double the size then the quality will be = to the first one. I tried unninstalling and installing again, or even the 2.0 alpha version, but it keeps happening. Just try it urself. Open the video, and without closing it, open again. But wait for the first video to start playing.

There's a quality setting for playback of divx files within the divx player... click the top left corner, scroll down to options, and the quality slider will be the first option you see. Slide it up to max unless you have an old, cranky PC.

There's a second quality slider for the divx decoder (which will affect how the video looks when it's run in Windows Media Player ... that's under start --> programs --> divx --> divx pro codec --> decoder configuration. Again it's the first one you'll see.

 

LoL. Sorry, i forgot to say that i already did that. I even have a 9700 pro and i tried turning that lil' option for the quality under Radeon cards. Still, it happens the same shit. And the Decoder always goes to low quality everytime i open it. I tried reinistalling. I tried Installing another version. I tried everything. It keeps happenning. Thx anyway. But still, try it yourself.

I tried your experiment the following way -
I opened the raider combo video in the divx player.
Without pausing, I opened it in a second copy of the divx player.
Both had identical quality.

On my system, I'm fairly sure it's always at full quality. Maybe your printscreen will help show me the differences in quality ... higher quality (I think) means it uses more antialiasing on the jaggies during playback, and uses buffering tricks to reduce/eliminate stuttering. Windows media player will smooth out jaggies in various video formats automatically, it takes about 5 seconds from the time you double click the movie to the time you'll see the anitaliasing take effect (everything gets smoothed and slightly blurrier).

If the divx player isn't doing the smoothing effect, just play the video in windows media player instead and give it a few seconds.

Either tomorrow or the next day I can probably arrange to have a look at your screencap, I can't send any files at the moment.

 

I unninstalled Divx player and codec. I then installed Nimo and lowered wmp accel to minimum (in performance tab). The quality is the highest, don't ask me why. Maybe it's a prob with 9700 pro. Or Windows XP prob. Dunno. Still, i've done it, no more problems with that. I can even play raider's video in WMP with full quality.

BTW, dl WM encoder at wmp site. It rocks. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have to watch out the backstagger combo when I
