But is the gear really good? Often these pre-order gears suck once you reach high level monsters. If I bought this game I'd probably want to use the Buster sword from start to finish for nostalgia's sake, but I know in the end it's stats won't hold up. Battles will be drawn out and take for ever to end.

-------Think skills are learned from costumes however you can combine any costume with any skills and gear.

So there are no costume tiers.

Yea they said each costume may have battle parameters but think any costume is viable for any battle
as long as people equip decent skills.


So it all comes down to skills and weapons/gear. Costumes are primarily cosmetic.-----
