^Only reason I was able to stand it is cuz I've met some weird kids in my life who not only choose to be different but are really good at whatever they embrace. Displaying their kids like pets is something that most parents do all the time though "hey, check out what my kid says/does" But chances are higher that you're right and that kid doesn't really have much say or control over his life
