It looks like generic, big studio 3D, suffering from "unlimited-budget CGI overkill". the opening scene where the main character wheels out looks soooo bad and speaking with a friend working in Sony's animation department no one even is sure why they needed to CG that. you know, except that they could.

Maybe it's a factor of watching it on the small screen but the entire thing looks forgettable. considering the budget which some say is crawling past the stated 267 million to the 400-500 million range I'd say that James Cameron's first return to dramatic cinema in a decade is not going to go well.

now, I have heard that everyone that the sneak preview in IMAX 3D were blown away. but if it needs 3D to make an impact...
