yeah, this is one of my favorites and for some reason I had thought I'd already posted it. cool that it finally got here.

For those that don't know the rules state that all 100 fights must take place in the same day, one after the other. You must win with a clear victory and you must win 60% of your fights. If you end up being knocked down you must be able to get up within 5 seconds or its all over.

This is indeed the hardest challenge in Kyokushin and to date there have only been a handful of people able to do it. Mas Oyama thought that every black belt should strive for the 100 man kumite and in an effort to prove it feasible performed 3 in as many days. Now they've decided to have 10, 25, and 50 man kumite challenges but the 100 man is the ultimate goal.

and yes, kyokushin karateka don't punch to the head in tournaments. There are several reasons for this but the two biggest I know of are: for the protection of competitors and their hands (no gloves or safety gear) and because of how much blood spilling occured. Mas wanted to have competitions in the Budokan and was against gloves in competition so he made a decision to not punch to the head.

Even a 25 man kumite/sparring sesion is bad ass. That takes balls.

Looks like, he does a bunch of goh, +, +, at 2:37 he sorta busts a +,+ hit throw. NICE!!

on a side note, i wouldnt want to fight people for 300 minutes straight without break.
