Reno: Why Taka?

He's is in certain situations like many other characters...unlike many other characters his ablity to sabaki everything for great damages make him that much formidable. In FS i see he has no weaknesses really for his style.

 

People take sabakis for granted when they don't play characters without them.

 

I know some people pick sabaki-based characters due to its pseudo-relationship with counters/parries in other games (Tekken, DOA, etc)... I mean they're different than actual counters, but its somewhat of a stepping stone into the world of VF...

If I use a character with a sabaki, I don't even know what to do with it, I don't even use it. Or if I use it, I end up thinking awhile about it and other stuff happens.

 

me jinxhand. i came from tekken. i pick goh because he looked like bryan fury... thats really the only reason.. jumping from Tekken to VF, making goh my main.. was really really tough, i wish picked up someone else. but now i dont regret it, i may have to block alot of strings and fuzzy more.. or 2p more. But once i get u. Goodbye

I'm surprised you didn't pick Vanessa as your main. I personally think she's the "equivalent" to Bryan in terms of style, minus the whole DS/OS thing... She's even got a mini mach breaker.

Yeah playing with Goh always seems like a Potemkin vs Axel match... Hard to get in, but once in, the match is over... I personally am a combofiend, and he doesn't fit my style, technically... But I play with grapplers in other games though; for example, I use Satsuki, and in Akatsuki Blitzkampf I can use Kanae (although I can play most in that game) and they're grapplers, but they have either loops, and/or combos that require some practice... I found some stupid stuff with Goh that did 'some' damage, but nothing practical... Someone make a Goh combo video and prove me wrong though...

After having a chance to play him (as well as Goh, Vanessa, Akira, Aoi, Blaze, Wolf, Jeffry, Jean, Sarah), he is simply the most fun of them all.

Reno, can you post up some combos? (not in vid format?)
