[/ QUOTE ] Agreed. There was a war, and we won, that's why Canada is Canada, and bigger/better than the U.S. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Look PopeBoy, I know you think this is fun & all but you should be careful b/c some of us take this issue very seriously. And if you ever show up at a gathering it's going to be very awkward.

oh smurfy. Come on....honestly, can anyone take a kid who has no clue seriously? He's entertaining for the short while and then his shortcomings become very obvious. I think it is funny that the bulk of VFDCers are still trying to have rational debate with him.

It sucks that there can be no real discussion of the current political climate in VFDC: either it is a lot of nodding heads (which is boring) or it is trolling trolling head rolling Texans. If he isn't derailing (and thanks to the people who humour him) threads with his repetitive naiive drivel he is simply making noise, masking better thought out arguments and counter points with ad-hominem attacks and pointless, tangental nonsense that others track down and refute only to be ignored. Of course, he ignores his drunken mental stumblings and assumes some sort of superiority and (as evidenced in this thread alone) some degree of success in winning. the school yard tactic of "did you guys hear something" should most likely be employed because vacuums do wonders for the filth that crowds out good ideas and people.

If by awkward, you mean total and complete carnage, I would have to agree.

now what's really scary is that there are MANY people like that in the US. That's what scares me.

I wish that there was some way we could tell the international community that we don't like this... but it only takes a simple majority to re-elect a president, and if he's re-elected, it'll just make everyone believe that we promote and like what's going on. It's sad.

If all it took were a simple majority, Al Gore would be the one running for re-election right now.

As a foreigner you meet people from around the world and you notice that very few people are like the Republicans back home right? I lived in Taiwan for a year, and I didn't meet any Republicans or foreigners who had views similar to Republicans. I am sure some of the business men might have been, but luckily for me, I avoided hanging out in places where those guys would be anyway. People with passports who have seen the world (with the exception of rich, fat American tourists) recognize American jingoism for the corrosive insidious force that it is.

As an American abroad, you have a lot to answer for now. Vote absentee if you can. Help save the US and the world from Bush! Peace.

My absentee ballot should be on it's way...

Not all business people think like that...I'm going to do my best to be one of those people that doesn't think like that.

Just because you have money doesn't mean you have to be republican. My family has money, and we're solid democrats.

What a mean thing to say smurf. I really think your taking this forum too seriously. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean they're wrong. There seems to be only one opinion expressed on this forum. And when you hear someone with an alternate point of view you ridicule there beleifs. half the people in this country apparently agree with my moderate conservative positions.

And just because your poor doesn't mean you have to be a democrat. The values of the Republican Party individualism, and less goverment. There is no requirement that you be wealthy to be a part of the Party.

KTallguy, did you ever think that the if the majority of the people in a country elect someone, he may be the best person for the job. Usually elections reflect the will of the nation.

Don't make anyone dig out the results of the last election. Every source plainly shows who had more votes OF THE PEOPLE.

You basically provide the reason why no one takes you seriously. Lastly it's obvious that you don't have a fucking clue of how dangerous it is & will be for the U.S. & the international community b/c of Bush & his administration.

George Bush has made this country safer during his term in the white house, due to the removing of Saddam and the Taliban. There are two less dangerous, countries that wish to harm the US and its interests. could you elaborate on why you think President Bush is such a bad man or are you just going to keep calling me names.

That statement probably sounds hypocritical coming from me. Al Gore really did deserve to win since he got the popular vote. Too bad we have that stupid electoral college. I don't like it either but those are the rules and George Bush won following the rules of the electoral process.

Theres no need to curse, that only causes you to sound immature and angry.

Cursing doesn't make you sound immature, angry yes & if you had read what I said you little punk. You realized that you don't Listen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The point has already been made by like everyone else here. I would just be ending up repeating what they were trying to point out to you.

    Jobs vs. Amputees

It's hard to go to far when pointing out what a terrible President Bush has been. Curse all you want. George W. Bush has literally created more amputees than jobs in the time he has been in office! Look it up if you don't believe me.
