Im in sandiego now, US evo machines are all version A. /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif Someone set something up soon, I need evo now!! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

anyhow im not a sandiego native and i dont know where the 94 is and stuff, if you can set up a meet toward the night time ill make it out there for sure (mapquest). Just post a date time and addy, maybe a contact phone# and we're good to go, unless mike wants to set up a meet. Ok that was a lot of gibberish, hope someone figures out something soon.

    good times

Just wanted to say thanks to Mike and PheonixDth for the matches and the most humbling learning experience... /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I feel like in a few hours I've learned more than I could learn in 10 days of Kumite...

The 2 main things I learned were:

    1. I need to buy a god damned joystick

    2. EVO is 10x better than VF4 version C

Anyway, thanks a lot guys, I hope we can have another meet sometime.

Hey what's up everyone. My name is Mark and I'm a local Tekken player. I was wondering if anyone plays VF4 EVO at MV Tilt? Let me know I'd love to get some games in. I'm kinda sad they got rid of T4 at MV though, but at least they still got TTT. O_O!?

I thought both sticks were crap at the MV. You're better off just driving to Mike's ghetto house and playing =P

    O_O!?

By the way, did any of you guys attend EVOLUTION 2003 this year? I was helping run the Tekken games and didn't really get to see the VF 4 EVO action until Saturday night Finals. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif It was great stuff though!

My brother and I just started playing seriously a few days ago, maybe we'll see you guys at MV as we are there a lot to check out the TTT/SC II competition.

Yes... I was the one sitting there, staring at the Japanese guys kick all our asses. It was a great tournament!

PM Mike or something, maybe we can have a little get-together.

Next time I go to MV I'll try asking the workers to fix the sticks over there. I'm still pissed that they took out Tekken 4 and put the crap that is SNK vs Capcom: Chaos. /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Hey what's up again guys. Well, I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but there is a place in Ocean Beach called GameLords. It's a nice gaming place with big screen TVs and consoles where you can play games and what not. We've had a few Tekken gatherings there before, why not have a VF4 EVO gathering there? It might be a bit expensive, but the hourly rate isn't bad at all, sometimes you can strike a deal. Anyways, I want you guys to check this place out:

    GameLords - Battle Dome
    4893 Voltaire Street
    Ocean Beach, CA 92107
    619.223.GAME

Say Mark sent ya. The Tekken organizer /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif !

This is also the same location that we're going to hold a huge multigame tournament for SC II, VF4 EVO, TTT, and T4.

Also I got a few of my friends to start playing VF4 EVO as well so hopefully we can get a big gathring sometime soon. I'll be going to Mission Valley sometime today or tomorrow to tell them to replace the sticks or fix em. Also did you guys know there's a VF4 machine at the Chula Vista Mall off H street?

    That's all. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    San Diego VF4 Scene Revival?

I think it would better if we play at someones house on the console version. Arcade version is version A while home version is ver B. It can mean pretty big difference for some characters. I know mike is moving right now or something, i dont know how big kenans place is. Hopefully solfizz reads this board or something and he can help out. Pomona group can host easily if your willing to drive up here /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

My place is fricking huge... (for a 2 bedroom townhouse). Bigger than Mike's place! (hehehe)

Supposedly when my roommate comes in around 2 weeks, he's bringing a big screen plasma tv.

You are all welcome to play at my place. I'll hook up my speakers and we'll play till 4 AM. The only thing is that I don't have EVO yet. Fucking Gamestop hasn't recieved a shipment yet. So someone's gotta bring that and hopefully you guys can bring some joysticks, and the EVO disc. Then we'll be good to go.

Check Target stores and Wal-Marts they just got their shipments in 2 days ago, they should have a bunch still. Target is selling them for $17, and Wal-Mart for $19.38.

GameStop's got a really small number of them on the release date. They've since increased their order due to it selling out at almost all locations. So by next Tuesday you should be able to find it at your local GameStop. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Soul Calibur II comes ships on Monday too btw. If anyone is interested.
