San Diego VF4 Scene Revival?

Depending on what people want to play there, that's the game that will be played. There are 10 available TVs total. If there are a lot of people and 4 different games are already going on, another will be opened for another fighting game. I will have the SD FIGHT CLUB event finalized by Tuesday night. I'll keep those who are interested posted on the news. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

 

I would now like to OFFICIALLY announce...

SD FIGHT CLUB

Every FRIDAY starting this Friday the 3rd.
6 p.m. - 11 p.m.(maybe extended to midnight)

$6 unlimited play!

Come and play with a bunch of people from all over SD for some competition and friendly matches! Or you can just invite your friends over and have a get together for the fighting game of your choosing!

You can bring your own fighting game if you'd like. Also it's bring your own controller or use their default pads there.

markman- didn't get to say thank you for the fight club last night. although i wish more ppl were there to play virtua fighter, it was cool. wasn't expecting to face a lion or sarah, but that made it alot more fun /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif. tell your bro( i think he was your bro) it was fun against his akira.

to the guy using sarah- sorry bro i couldn't hear your name, but thanks for the games man. it's been like forever since i played against another sarah.

a couple of questions though. where in the world was i supposed to park? was that a parking lot across the street from gamelords? i was kinda lucky finding parking, but for next time, where should i park? peaceout.

Some changes are made for the future of SD FIGHT CLUB!

It will be starting at 7 p.m. from now on instead of 6 p.m.

If the game you're going to play requires a memory card save file please bring your own memory card. Also bring your own controllers/sticks!

As for parking, just so you guys know for next Friday, there's parking down the street, just keep going down Voltaire, there's a free parking lot to your left. It's walking distance, not that bad of a walk. But usually there are spots available close to the building so maybe you'll get lucky again and find it. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you guys want a place to play, hit up SD FIGHT CLUB at GameLords Friday night from 7 til midnight. It should be great fun. There will be a ton of players for other fighting games there too.

 

im a college student, i really dont want to pay after spending $20 of gas one way . . . then spending $16 the next day for the tournament. Then another $20 heading out. And eating expenses.

I dont mean to bitch, but if there can be an option where I can play free. Itll be much more less of a strain on my budget.

Yeah, right now I don't have the money to buy Evo AND go and pay $16 for a tournament, but I may go friday and we'll see.

Just a thought but if not Saturday, why not in the future, hold tournaments for more titles, like Evolution2003
That way, the whole turnout would be bigger, more exposure, and it'd be just like Evolution2003 with like MvC2, CvS2, 3rd Strike, Super Turbo, Guilty Gear XX, SC2, Tekken 4, Tekken Tag, and VF4:Evo...something along those lines
I would be more than happy to enter in almost all the titles and it would be a nice idea, but it's just a suggestion here

 

Yeah, but running 9 games would be next to impossible for the actual scale of this tournament, maybe if it WAS EVO2003 we could pull it off, but it's not. But even then I think we have enough games, the tournament on Saturday(Today) is for 4 games, Tekken 4, Tekken Tag Tournament, Soul Calibur II, and VF4 EVO.
