It did say hardcore titles. Obviously my biggest hope would be VF5FS on console but for the 2nd game in order of anticipation:

    Shenmue
Streets of Rage 4/Golden Axe 4 (classic style not like the newer Final Fight and Golden Axe games)
    New Panzer Dragoon
Virtua Cop 3/House of the Dead 4 console port

If Shenmue were actually a possibility they'd have to start over from the 1st game with a remake.

It'll be a Sonic 20th Anniversary game, I'm calling it now.

Watch Sega kill two birds with one stone and make...

Sonic's Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown. Either that or it'll be Tournament of Legends 2 or some stupid ass non-sega division developed licensed game.

VF5:FS, Virtua Cop 3, Shenmue 3, Daytona USA, new classic Phantasy Star, Panzer Dragoon Saga 2 or Shining Force 4 would be nice.

Streets of Rage 4 would be awesome, but Yuzo Koshiro would need to do the soundtrack.

Last time we spoke a big theme was you said you needed to woo the hardcore a little more on PS3 and 360 - and that was reflected in your market share. How's that plan working out?
Well we had a boost with Aliens vs. Predator, so that kind of moved us up that chart. Alpha Protocol has done okay - it hasn't done as well as we had hoped. I think time was probably an issue in terms of when we launched it with everything else that was going on.

Vanquish is getting a good response - that's our big hope for the release later this year to keep us in the 360/PS3 core game slot.

Then we've got two other big games that we'll be announcing this year for 2011 and 2012. So we're not going to be overly aggressive - but we're going to try to have one or two each year in that segment.

Having succeeded with Aliens is an example - if we can have something like that with Vanquish being successful or one of the others, that helps us gradually increase that market share.

The issue is that when you see Black Ops or Gears costing $50 million dollars-plus, consumers are becoming used to that and that is becoming the benchmark.

So naturally it is harder for others to compete in that unless you're going to commit that kind of money. For us, being more prudent by limiting the number of titles but doing those better and spending more money on them - we hope that strategy will realise a better market share for us. We're definitely very pleased with what we've got in Vanquish.

Basically Sega is going with a 'less is more' approach for AAA games. They figure that the new standard is big budget so instead of trying to make a dozen big budget games on reduced budget they'll make one or two with a full budget instead. VF5FS hopefully being one of them though unlikely.

Sounds like some talk of a new FPS or TPS...

Is it just me, or did hardcore become a synonym for FPS sometime during E3?

That's what companies have been pumping out for the past several years... People feel like there's more comp in FPS games and TPS games... That's why Halo and Gears and the clones that came out of it are always having major tourneys...

I think the term hardcore is overrated like the term bling and swagger... I agree with you X... People say that there aren't any 'hardcore' games for the Wii, but there are a good amount of 'hardcore' games on that system. When you ask those people to name some hardcore games, they spew out CoD, or something of the like... Shame... Those same people that claim hardcore jump onto the next best FPS, from TF2 to Halo3, and then to some other FPS...

Nope, FPS is now called "Blockbuster" games thanks to Microsofts Conference, all 3 of their blockbuster games are FPS......

VF5FS, Shenmue 3, Jet Set Radio 3 or HD, Outrigger for XBL or PSN, Skies of Arcadia 2 maybe Virtua Cop 4 (3 being released in the arcades 4 comes packaged with 3 as unlockable [IMG] )
All games I want to see make it's way to console.

Personally I think companies have a hard time classifying games as more often than not if it doesn't have blood, guns or swords it's called casual. So I would expect SEGA to announce something that's "not casual" and less than hardcore, maybe Bayonetta 2 Since Comicon is coming around the corner and everyone knows how much people love sexy Bayonetta cosplay.

I actually would really like to see a Bayonetta 2, the 1st one on the 360 was excellent.

Sounds like you talk to the type of FPS people that try to jump shot only to be knifed in the balls before they land.

If that's Aoi's left and right ones, I'll be happy.

Hopefully we get some good news. Not expecting it right now though.

    TITTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its maybe a new project from Kamiya, or could well be new Yakuza game. If yakuza 5 came out for xbox it would be cool.

    I meant a console port.

Also, a new Jet Set Radio would be nice as well.

It's gonna be Dynamite Headdy and Alex Kidd =/

Seriously, since I know that it won't be VF5FS, here's a list of old Sega games that I would like to see get a next-gen console version treatment:

    Streets of Rage
    Power Stone
    Last Bronx
    Vector
    Altered Beast
    Choplifter
    Shinobi
    Golden Axe
    Crazy Taxi
Never liked racing games much except for Sega Rally and Daytona USA so those would be nice to see and play again.

Also Michael Jackson's Moonwalker but instead of Moonwalker they should call it Moonraper (i joke, i keed)

Re: SEGA TO ANNOUNCE 2 MAJOR TITTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dynamite Headdy was Treasure and Power Stone was Capcom.

There is apparantly a Ubisoft Michael Jackson game in development, so I can't see Sega doing one.

There is already a next-gen version of Golden Axe called Beast Rider which I think did not do well.

A Last Bronx remake or part 2 would be dope, but I can see people saying, "Ugh its a Soul Calibur clone..."
