SEGA TO ANNOUNCE 2 MAJOR TITLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope its a new Bayonetta, that was such a great game, I still play it occasionally seeing as how I got pretty much nearly everything (except the item u get for beating the game on Easy), and I clocked in well over 70 hours.

ummm... If hardcore is a niche or a type of gamer and not a genre of games how can Sega release a hardcore title?

Or do you mean you hope Sega releases a title that only hardcore gamers play or would play?

But that's kind-a tricky... Because there are some games that
hardcore gamers play that are suspect. That is, its not exactly clear why the hardcore gamer plays it. Yet because of the amount of time, energy, and devotion spent on the game, the gamer has to be considered hard core even if the game is more or less fluff

I think titles get identified with hardcore because of how they are played, not made. The hardcore gamers out there kind-a determine which games R worthy. Once the hard core gamer embraces it, perhaps then it becomes a 'hardcore title'
but if it becomes too popular, a lot a times, the hard core gamers walk away.

Anyway, the two 2 major titles Sega should announce
are Virtua Fighter 6, and Virtua Fighter 7

No, game developers usually use "hardcore" to refer to titles that appeal to an audience that is "hardcore" with a series of games. For example, Nintendo called Super Mario Galaxy a "hardcore" game because Mario is in its title, and longtime ("hardcore") customers buy these games.

Let them have that definition though, because there is no such thing as a hardcore gamer or a hardcore in the sense that you're trying to come up with. There are only gamers and non-gamers, good games and shitty games (or non-games like on the wii), and within gamers there are skilled gamers (the ones that win) and the so-called casual gamers are just the bad ones.

I definitely mean the latter... I'm just saying that if Sega says 'hardcore', I hope they don't mean 'commercial mainstream' or think that somehow casual gamer = hardcore gamer, so the games to come are considered 'hardcore'. I hope they mean a game that has longevity and something that the true fighters will play from that point on... I think about ST, 3S, JJBA, TMNT:TF, FHD, MvC2, even TTT and SC2. I consider those hardcore games - games that people would still be willing to play for years. Granted, there are newer versions of those games for some, but people still stay true to that iteration that stood out... Maybe I'm trippin' though...

new bayonetta game would be pretty cool, but it seems a bit too early for that IMO, and the creator was never big on sequels (i don't think he EVER made 2 games for one series).

SORRY BAYONETTA FANS, THE NEWS REGARDING BAYONETTA IS THAT IT'S A RE-RELEASE FOR PS3'S AND 360'S RESPECTIVE BUDGET LIST THAT IS CURRENTLY FOR RELEASE IN JAPAN I THINK THIS FALL.

Vanquish is looking good, wasn't too interested after seeing the first trailer and that article were Mikami apologised for God Hand.

This shit looks awesome though.

God Hand was a great game. Vanquish looks like a boring gears clone tbqh. They'd damn well better fix the PS3 version of Bayonetta. I mean, hell, it sold more on that platform despite it being the inferior version!

I haven't heard of this game yet but I'm starting to REALLY like the 3rd person shooters. It's a lot easier to really move and maneuver the game environment in 3rd person as opposed to 1st person. In 1st person, you don't really get the peripheral vision needed to move through the level as well as 3rd person.

The 3rd person perspective help because you can see your feet and whole body and can tell when you're behind cover, you can see if you're jumping high enough to make it onto what you want or jumping to the right spot horizontally...

This game looks somewhat like Transformers WFC -- futuristic TPS combat in what look like really cool robotic suits. This little trailer makes the game look pretty incredible. Is it class-based?

I love Transformers WFC so much!!![/size] It's a seriously awesome class-based TPS. The balance is amazing and the game mechanics are just superb. Each class is so well done and well balanced, they're also all extremely fun to play.

 

The two new titles are:
VF5R and VF5FS! It's going to be a double disc

its gears of war meets bayonetta or something, which is a very amazing combination.
I'm just impressed with the general pacing of the game atleast in the trailers, Gears single player is pretty slow paced and just doesn't seem nearly as intense as this game.
