You're better off playing SoR2, Dynamite Cop, or Final Fight... SC mode wasn't all that great (crumby Tekken 3d axis on a beat-em up wasn't so hot).

As long as the new Virtua Tennis game includes the 17 characters in VF5 + Jean and Taka and after every hit of the tennis ball produces a round of VF I will buy this game.

Sure, its no VF5FS, but Virtua Tennis could be cool. With Move and 3D support, could be very cool. Maybe they'll include a few new interesting camera angles for extra "VR-ness".

I still would prefer VF5FS. I'm really starting to hate vanilla VF5.

Virtua Tennis used to be really good especially the 2nd game. This new game's not looking too promising though even if they have brought back the original developers. You don't control your character's movement? WTF!

Is Virtua Tennis really what the Sega fans want??? I would expect another Yakuza or Panzer Dragoon, even Burning Rangers but Virtua Tennis??? Its a good game and all, but thats like Rockstar saying they're gonna bust out with a major title and it ends up being Rockstar Table Tennis 2.

Yakuza? Sega can't stop making Yakuza games. They've already made 5 and have another 2 in development. Shenmue 3!

Only time I played virtua tennis was when arcade VF3 was old, the cabinets were broken and arcade owners didnt bother to fix them. So I played VT1 back then. It may be ok as an arcade game but I dont think it has enough depth for a full release console game.

FYI: I own VT2 or is it 3 on PS3 but I wish I hadnt bought it.

I would understand a Yakuza game more, even though I dont play them anymore.

One again this shows the moronic intelligence out of sega to release VT instead of a desired FG. More shit nobody cares about. I bet the second announcement will be equally has dumb... unless its a new Eternal Champions

I would say VT3 and 2009 are equivalents of VF in the tennis game world.

Like VF anyone could try the demo or even play for a week and not really appreciate what they are playing, the entry point for learning the game is quite low, which might confuse people in to thinking the game is quite shallow with limited opportunity for variety.

But the career mode is just like VF's quest mode, the mini games are like evo's training and the subtlety of the game engine gets exposed while you improve in career mode.

Even after beating career mode(which I have on both games), you can play the AI on hardest settings, or play people on PSN with low rankings and still have your entire game taken to pieces, while they pull you all over the court.

VT looks shallow to newcomers, but it is every bit as deep as a fighting game with the Virtua name (imo).

VT4 with Move sounds good; and although I completely slammed 3D TV some months back for film/sport; for gaming (Motostorm) I'm now rethinking my position.

I'm still a little concerned about the long term safety issues by tricking our depth perception, but hopefully that's something I've guessed wrong about [IMG].

Maybe Sega could get a free Sony submission for a VF5 dlc patch(5R with online play) if they added 3D support to help in the 3D TV push, and maybe generate more VF5 sales and get some add revenue from us. I know, it is wishful thinking

Is this Sega of America or Sega of Japan who's releasing this new information??? I don't even think anyone outside of Japan that works for Sega even knows about VF5FS (even though its in every FG forum as well as Sega's forums, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube)...

well if there making virtua tennis, that HAS TO BE even smaller community wise than VF, so.. if that game can come out maybe VF can too [IMG]?!
