I would imagine VT to have a considerably larger community actually.

Fun game to play for anyone, great party type game to play offline with friends and appeals to tennis fans.

VF, on the other hand, is a terribly boring game for people (scrubs) to play, it is a terrible game to play offline with friends (and only decent to play offline with skilled players). Although VF may spark interest in people that enjoy watching/doing martial arts.

Playing a game =/= being part of a community. Even you should know that. Most VT players will be exclusively casual and will never even look at a VT massage board.

Yeh but when you're part of a community populated by fans of a certain game and then said game is hardly even played there is a problem.

I think I might just quit playing VF and go and ETEG on VT instead.

I disagree.... when I first got the game, me and a few friends played against each other, had no clue what we were doing, but still had a total blast
The consensus seems to be that this game "is terrible to play with friends" but I just dont think that is true.

So you're admitting you were wrong, yes? Just making sure. Think before you type, son.
VF isn't bad to play offline with friends, it's bad when there are big differences between opponents, especially if either player doesn't have much patience (such as yourself).

It also doesn't help if the better player is a bad winner (such as yourself).

The only thing that can save it is when one of the players really wants to learn and get better, and is paying attention to why they're losing and learning while playing (unlike yourself). [IMG]

I agree, you can't play VF offline with random people. MAYBE..MAYBE if you both don't know what your doing, but if someone does its just massive rape which gets very boring very fast.

And I meant does VT have a large fan base RIGHT NOW? Because if it doesn't= hope for VF, if it does then well wow im surprised.

I'm sure they'll be plenty of casual players AFTER its release but who plays VT now? The main idea here is that HEY SMALL FAN BASE= STILL COME OUT WITH GAME SO MAYBE VF COMES OUT [IMG]? although VT is a tennis game and they could be thinking "Hey tennis= casual=massive players even if no one plays it right now" can't do that for VF though.

so its TGS or bust for VF5FS or equivalent for consoles? it seems that all that Hype was for naught. but what can you do right? you can only have faith in Sega(AM2) in releasing a version to consoles.

Its like they have decided long time ago that "we need to make more 'casual' games since those are the rage (or were 2 years ago)

Nah man, I've got a wicked amount of patience. You couldn't actually even get to my level without a certain amount of patience.

Playing VF with my friends is terrible. None of them are FG fans so they just mash. As I said VF isn't a game where you can have fun if you don't know what you're doing. There's just nothing amazing happening on screen and the flow of the game would be very slow with players being knocked onto the floor and hit out of the air randomly because the other guy think's doing [9_][K] is awesome, lol.

There are like 3 tricks in the entire VT that you need to learn. Its not really 'deep' gameplaywise. The characters only differ by stats, they do the same things all of them.
Theres only so far you can take a game like that.

You mean 3 buttons, just like playing VF on a stick, (power shot, lob shot, chip shot)

But if you've come to that conclusion from owning vf3, beating all the mini games at the highest level, and beating career mode then I'm surprised. Either you are a natural at the game, intuitively know where to move and how long to time you're shots for, when and how quick to change direction, or I must be completely crap at this game.

If you haven't done those things yet; might I suggest you buy VT 2009 give it a proper go and see if you don't see what I mean and change your mind.

The reviews out there for VT 2009 are really harsh, it is not Valkyria Chronicles 10/10, but it is definitely a solid 8/10 for fun, features and player roster; now includes Scottish super star/British No. 1/World number 4 Andy Murray. Sorry no Jim Courier.

I haven't played VT2009 on my newer ps3 slim yet, but occasionally on ps3 fat it would drop one frame while streaming from the Blu-ray. So with the install option on 360 it might be even smoother.

Given how cheap the game is, there's little excuse for tennis fans not to buy this; except it is called Vt2009 and it is 2010.

Wait a minute did they say two NEW titles, as in NOT ANNOUNCED BEFORE? because technically VF:FS has already been announced (and released) so how could it count as a new title?
[IMG] just trying to be pessimistic so we don't kill ourselves when we don't get FS lol

A couple people here seemed so positive it was coming out, at first. I really wonder what happened behind the scenes that gave them that impression and what has changed since then? I was psyched early on too, but I'm feeling really cautious now. I just hope they just do it. They really should just do it and give the fans one last chance to prove we want VF outside of Japan...

The long awaited response to the petition sort of killed the buzz.
