Sega vs Capcom vs Namco

GRR GRR!

This is the only crossover I'll play, Doom guy vs. video games:

 

Yeah, probably another Japanese exclusivity, but yet, I just can't get the reason for including Ulala isntead of any major Phantasy Star or Shinning Force character. Ryo Hazuki would be a blast there! Of course, as Yakuza only live in the Sony universe, Nintendo would never allow Kazuma's crew there. What's a pity, given the Yakuza Black Panther freedom in fighting style improvement

 

I could see the game here, unless a license problem could stop it

 

Another game to add to my 3DS collection if it comes to the states :3

Too bad it isn't a fighting game, would have been great!

A couple of things I want to point out and say, this strictly speaking as a diehard SEGA fan.

1.) I want a 3DS now, if this game gets localized. (Doubtful with all those licenses and such)

2.) There is a Shining Force character there. Look at the top left hand side of image on the 1st post. That strange teen boy with his mid riff showing and girl in the white? They are from Shining Force EXA.

Honestly, would have went with anyone but those two for a Shining Force rep. Hell, I'd take a Tony Taka designed Shining Force character at this point. Why those two? I have no idea.

3.) According to the interview there will be more characters than the ones shown.

Miki Shinichiro is a veteran seiyuu who has voiced Akira since VF2. He also voiced Akira for the VF anime series. Notable roles include Takumi from Initial D and Kojiro(Team Rocket James) from Pokemon.

Takayama Minami is also a veteran who has voiced Pai since VF3. Notable roles include Conan from Detective Conan(Case Closed) and Nabiki from Ranma. She is also the lead singer for the group Two-Mix, which did the theme song for Gundam Wing.

Miki Shinichiro(Akira)

I'm Miki Shinichiro, the person who voices Akira Yuki. Hello everyone.

We've just finished recording for this game, but yeah, it's a very rare oppurtunity to be able to collaborate with other games like this, and the thing that stands out is this. Akira's been saying "Ten years too early" for almost 15 years now... or maybe more? I think it'll just always be ten years too early. And that's how Akira has been for a long time in my own life. It's a really great thing, to be able to talk to characters in other games like this.

Well, the fact is Virtua Fighter isn't the kind of game that has a lot of dialogue in it, so this chance for me to do dialogue like this makes me very happy. Hey, it's pretty interesting! I know you'd be interested in this game already if you're on this webpage, but... this thing is really interesting! I got hyped just recording my lines, thinking "Oh, so this is what they'd say to each other" and "Oh this kind of thing could happen."

There'll be fans of each of the various games involved playing this, but through this one, I think it would be good for you to see all the other games out there, and discover some of the characters and aspects of other games that you've missed out on. If that could make you into a fan of other games as well, it would be great.

I think this game will be one that will not leave you disappointed. Release is still a while away, so I hope you'll keep up the hype while waiting. This was Miki.



Takayama Minami(Pai)

Thank you for listening to this message. I'm Takayama Minami, who does the role of Pai Chan.

It's been over ten years since I first met Pai, and I get to play the role of Pai every several years when a new game in the series releases. As we've gone along, they've been increasingly telling me things like "Could you make her sound a bit more young?" "Could you make her voice a bit higher pitch?" "Could you make her sound more cute?"... so how does Pai sound this time? There'll be those of you meeting Pai for the first time too.

This time, Pai's got the most lines she's ever had, so I think you'll be able to see aspects of her character in more detail. Being able to fight alongside characters that she would not have ever been able to meet before this, it's a great party atmosphere for her to improve her Kung Fu. I'm sure Pai would say that herself too.

I hope you fully enjoy the world view and action style unique to this game. We'll meet again somewhere else out there. Please enjoy yourselves.

 

That's so awesome. I'm curious to see what sort of dialogue they're talking about.

If nothing else, here's hoping for a scene or something involving Ryu, Akira, and Jin all together. If you ask me, it's a necessity.

I never realized there's a Virtua Fighter anime series until now. Seems it was 35 eps long! In 1995-96... Anyone seen it? Supposedly it had a positive reception. How was it compared to say Street Fighter V?

 

It was mediocre. The opening music was nice. Dural's origin was not bad. The Akira-Pai-Jacky-Sarah team got annoying fast. Kage was bad-ass though
