    Both versions are actually sold out :3 I have faith on the return of fighting games. Not a 90s craze, but it'll certainly boost the competitive scene. I don't even want the 90s craze back, really. The return of a few fighting franchises like Bloody Roar, Bushido Blade and Rival Schools and the health of the current big ones would be good enough for me. No need for Shaq Fu 2, a new BallZ or another Primal Rage :p

    On a second thought...

    Anyways, people have to put this into perspective. A game doesn't HAVE to sell 1m to be successful. It depends on the development costs. In the case of VF5R, they are both ports of arcade games, the cost to make them on consoles won't be anything that a couple sales won't cover. Also VF5R uses the exact same hardware as VF5, just with better knowledge of the engine and an updated driver of their Nvidia graphics card, so the cost to make a home port is really minimal I believe. I remember reading a recent interview with Tekken's director and he said that home ports of Tekken generated 10 to 20 times more money than the arcades, due to the current state of the arcade market and the economy in general. Sure VF sells less than Tekken on home consoles, but R could still generate a lot more money from home ports than from arcades, simply because it would be cost effective.

    Yes, some will say "oh FT was Evo better balanced and with more custom stuff" but FT wasn't appealing for buyers aside from the real hardcore community at all. More balance in a game like VF (which is already well-balanced) doesn't affect 95% of the players and more custom pieces isn't enough to get people buying yet another iteration of the same game. Evo had improved graphics, the item shop, new characters, new music and stages, it was a significant upgrade just like R is to VF5. It'll be cost effective, it'll sell enough to meet some profit and it will please the fans. It makes sense to release it on consoles. It'll come, eventually, just give it time.

    (Hmm, someone should put the R logo there instead of that UFO..)

    The problem is you guys are assuming Sega does things to make money. Rational businesses exist to make a profit. I don't think Sega is rational anymore- hence the financial problems.

    I'd still take a new Bloody Roar game over a new Rise of the Robots game.

    Possibly the only thing in this world WORSE than Uwe Boll.

    Serious. And haha @ EA publish. Valve is making some bank off of L4D. The PC version especially, too.

    I remember that game. One day I was at my dad's friend place, his son had a SNES and the ONLY game still working was that. I had to stay there and play with him.... the whole day ;_;
