I had to comment on this one. One of the lasting effects of 3 was the soundtrack. Too bad 4 fell completely short.

 

Funny you mention the OST of 3rd Strike and on top of that, The instrumental track by Just Blaze for that Ad. A few members from GAF and VFDC(Me and some others)are doing something special come the release of SSFIV. Keep a look out for it

 

Capcom should've brought back that emcee Infinite or someone like him for SF4... I think the style of music they had for the SF3 series (especially 3S) was probably the best style of music for any fighting game period... Sure beats MvC2's music... And it definitely beats KOF's music (well, anything after '98)...

By the way, are you familiar with the word "homage"? The car and barrel smashing is a throwback to SF2 (as most of SF4 style), in case you didn't know. SSF4 is also getting a TON of new features for a premium price, in case you didn't know. Coming soon for XBL and PSN.

And if you want "non-cartoony animations", then I guess don't play SF, but why complaining about it? The series was known for its cartoony style since the start, complaining now is barking at the moon. Just stick to VF... oh wait, there are wacky items, and we can't have cartoony stuff in a game, right??? Just play gta then, Japanese games aren't safe.

I actually don't find SF2 "cartoony" at all. The cartoony vibe started with alpha imo.

Im going to get it of course but i feel that this was supposed to be released first. IMO i think Hakan is fucking stupid sorry. Funny maybe but i can't put up with his Homosexually themed moveset. I could've understanded if it was a Amazonian Turkish female oil wrestler being that 90% of the SF players are males lol!! Now that would be sexy.

 

Hakan's Homosexually themed moveset is the only thing he's got going for him, apart from that he looks boring.
