So about that Super Street Fighter IV, eh?

Capcom wants to make a huge impressive game for SF fans. To balance the characters is not their priority.

 

The producer doesn't plan to release it for arcade.

 

Focus on console only? How about the profit from arcade?

 

This is like saying how about profit from consoles for VF5R? I don't know man business decisions are whack these days, or maybe they just don't care for us.

Adon looked pretty damn cool too though but Guy is back and my hype level is maxed out just from the bit I watched. I don't even care if Super SF4 sucks as bad as SF4 does, I will be buying this game.

I don't plan on maining anyone from the newly revealed cast, but it's always good to have more opponents to beat up! Adon looks vicious, and Guy looks like he's been working out in same gym as Chris from RE5 - good times... I guess?

A recent railer showing new costumes, new supers and other new stuff. I liked Cammy's M. Bison costume and that new super of Dhalsim's looks hilarious

Wow this game is horrible looking....juvenile ULTRA and SUPER attacks, ADD style camera angle changes, goofy costumes (Colossus Zangief). Pretty much as expected, a total sell out, more of the same with SFIV. But then again the game is heavily marketed at Americans so it's not a surprise that the game appeals to the most infantile and casual players.

At least in Japan the game doesn't dominate like it does the U.S., they at least recognize that SFIV is garbage. And the 3S and ST scenes in Japan are apparently getting stronger now compared to the last few years (X-Mania this year had the most entrants ever) whereas here everyone has abandoned ST and 3S for the most part. So it's not like in the U.S. where SFIV is the only SF game being played.

What's sad is that five or ten years down the road when all of the scrubs and idiots have left the fighting game scene, the most hardcore fans will be stuck with SSFIV. Weak. And SSFIV still doesn't have a confirmed arcade release in Japan yet does it? Meaning the game almost has zero lasting appeal with the hardcore crowd.

Unless they get rid of the cartoonish and comedic aspects of the presentation and make the gameplay less scrubby then I'll stick to ST and 3S for the future.

Not really, I'm sure people can still play the Xbox version on X360.

Besides, 3S is thriving on 2df and GGPO.

 

The game can be garbage but at least its getting a lot of global attention and publicity which is more than can be said about a lot of other fighting games.

Capcom does a good job supporting its fans.

Though I didn't care for SF4 and they still haven't added Q which is the only char I would buy the game for. I'm gonna have to pass on this one. I'm officially not hyped. :<
