Damn, OK, Sagat will still be sick. All I can hope for is that it takes a little more work/skill to win with him. I know he got some pretty big damage nerfs on a bunch of normals and TU>FADC>Ultra 1 was toned down.

Like I said, I really can't wait to get my hands on this game!!!

For Ryu, I'm hearing there was some big time changes to his DP priority and he can't trade with the DP and FADC into Ultra anymore. I also am hearing that his Ultra 2 is godly.

This is the hardest period of time when there's a game I'm REALLY anticipating, I know that I only have one week left to wait AND I know that people are already playing it out there somewhere... Not with me.

Back to Sagat, since they did nerf his normals and some of his easier damage, I hope that it will at least be harder to do good damage with just the most basic stuff he's got. If you need to do the Ascending Scar in your combos for really good damage than that's all I could ask, add a layer to the execution level. Whatever it may be, if it takes more skill and raises the threshold for scrubdom, I'm happy.

SDS - I'm going to need you to figure out Abel and then beat on me so I can steal your secrets. I will never understand how some VFDCers figure these games out so quick. I won't get to where you're at at the end of day one in anywhere under a month.

I can see it now... me using T. Hawk and getting beaten left and right. That sounds fun to me, seriously. I love low tier characters a lot for some reason. I feel so special if I win using an anal wetwipe-tier character.

 

If you can, you can come out to Fall River on Saturdays and you can get a bajillion good games in and learn stuffs. We've had a SUPER good time playing this week.

I got a chance to play it yesterday and probably will tomorrow and the game is fun. It's definitely much better than SF4. First off the graphics have been polished up nicely and the art work is FINALLY growing on me this time around. The characters don't look so Gears of War-ish and super swole like they all take steroid no more. I think that has to do with how they blended the colors this time around. Good shit Capcom!

As for the characters, well I'm gonna be Guy and Cody all the way for now. So far I can say every characters seems like they will be very good. Of course there will always be a top and bottom tier list, but I think everyone will do well in certain match ups.

Oh and as far as predictions go, I'm surprised no one thinks Abel will be up there. His new super is just not fair lmao and that shit is GODLY fast!

 

I agree with you on Abel. Breathless is not nice. At first I thought it was going to be pointless because it was a dashing throw, since Soulless was already a pretty decent and comboable Ultra, but the new one is really good. His normals have been made more powerful as well, so I think it's safe to say he's going to be a lot more solid this time around.

I do have one question though: What the hell did they do to Cody's theme? The original trailer with him in had a much better one.

Yes, from what I've seen the graphics do look cleaner and the characters seem more lively and separated from the background.

I might have to go hold up Best Buy with an M416, equipped with under-barrel grenade launcher, to get a copy NOW.

Yeah I agree man! The first time I saw this when my buddy beat the game with Cody I instantly wished that there was a secondary disk that showed all the animation in slow motion.

 

LMAO Ill try. If you know SF2 from all those years ago this is noting. Im not really focused on Abel this year. I runnning with Guy and Guile till the wheels fall of. I love Guy in alpha 1 like him in 2 the hated him in 3 until i realized he was move overpowering than 1. Reports of retail copies on the East coast and West coast now. Everyone's been playing pirated versions up until potentially now. Heavy talks of Capcom making the official release date this Friday the 23rd instead of the 27th, which is likely true now.

Someone said that and I've heard the same rumor but Amazon nor Gamestop has changed the release date at all. Still says 27th on both sites. Not confident this early release will happen.

 

Is going to happen, just like I said in Facebook, NYC Koreans>Gamestop is that simple. The game is already out. And when people start getting their money back from GS, they're going to do it, Just like COD:MW2. Instead in putting your faith in god today, you should put it to the Koreans, they deserved it.
