SoCal VF Party, May 21st-24th, 2009

I'm definitely gonna go to this.

In other news... Don't mean to derail the thread or anything, but why doesn't anyone support the smaller tourneys. I see people in here that 100% KNOW they are going to this, even if it means flying across the entire US. And those same people won't take a 2 hour trip to a smaller event. I think supporting the smaller events would keep VF more alive. I guess they don't really have the time to attend more than 1 or 2 events a year, so they pick the big ones. Don't these clowns know your supposed to save your vacation time and personal days for VF? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Once the $40 clears to my paypal I'll have it sent. Awesome deal you got going on there.

Wow! So great to see this hype after only two days! VFDC'ers are the best.

Things are looking good with the T-shirt/DVD pack, too.

5 people have contributed and I see posts that account for 9 more planned contributions (use that paypal link, gentlemen - money order is, of course, OK too). Almost halfway to the goal on the second day with 3.5 months to go. This is awesome.

If you all blow away the goal - the contributions will next go in to the drink and snack fund (not to mention the s_aki gourmet fund if he chooses to appear and cook up something wonderful like last time - he covered that last meal by himself, you know).

Even though I won't be able to attend this wonderous event I wish everyone who will to have a blast. Oh I would like a size "M" please Mr. Plague, thx.

 

Got a question for pretty much everyone. Is anything going down on the 21st? Its like an 8 hour flight so if I leave on the 21st I won't be there until late at night. Should I come over on the 20th instead? Just tryin to get a feel for what everyone else is doing before I purchase these tickets.

 

Johoseph, if you want to land on Wednesday night, that is fine. Thursday is full of casual play at my house - no tournaments planned.

Note for everyone on T-Shirts...

They will all have the same design - they will not have individual names on them. They will have the name of every person who purchased one. The artwork will look like what you see below except for two things...

The line "Confirmed participants and contributors" will be changed to "Special thanks to the following contributors..."

The name list will reflect the people who bought the t-shirt/dvd package prior to May 1st, 2009. The names on the image below are for design reference only.

 

Plague, you already know i'm planning on coming. Got my passport this time too haha. I don't think i'll now for sure until March time though, money is real tight for me at the moment but Ash has found some affordable flights so I really should be able to make it.

I'm robbing the family for spare cash right now so I might be able to sort it out sooner than March. Oh yeah Plague, count me in for the T. Shirt/DVD if that's ok, i'll PM you when i'm gonna send the money.

Hey just want to confirm that you guys got my 2 payments and my request on what names I would like on the shirts?

Hopefully in the next couple of days I can give you confirmation on if I will be attending or not.
