SoCal VF Party, May 21st-24th, 2009

Yeah, both my roomate and I will probably come. He mops the floor with me the majority of the time so I would enjoy seeing him get his ass handed to him, because I'm sure all of you are far beyond our skill level. I think I'm more interested in watching than playing.

 

I'd really like to show up for this one. I might try getting a car-pool together for the Colorado peeps. But if nothing else, I'd like to attend. Just don't put me down for a confirmation just yet.

Thirteen orders to make sure the HDTV is there for the event! I see in this thread some people who stated intent to contribute. It would be great to see those people come through.

Regardless, as the event draws closer and I watch last year's house party vid, I just get more amped. I've been practicing defense so I don't get thrown to death and offense so I don't go on autopilot. VF is really the greatest game. VFDC is really the best community. My life would not be the same without you all.

Yeah man, of course! Last time my cousin was seriously freaking out over the corners, and I was driving like 35 mph....haha. Driving those mountains is really fun, beats Grand Turismo any day.

And now for my shameless plug....just today I decided to change the artwork on my sticks, and so took some stuff from shoryuken.com. Went to Kinkos, worked it out, and today I finished them. This is the first time I ever did anything like this and I'm happy with the results, even though I can see some mistakes already. Next time when I decide to do them again, they'll come out perfect.

So what do you guys think? I especially like the Astro theme for my VSHG, Hype!!

 

Damn man, that looks nice. Is that astro template one someone posted for the non-TE madcatz stick, or is it vshg-specific?

 

I hope I have a chance to see TE stick in Socal, and maybe that's my only chance!!!

 

Yeah, someone (I forget) posted up some images for the TE fightstick, and I saw the Astro one and I had to do it. It's not VSHG specific, I had to manipulate the image, and since I'm a photoshop noob, it was hard as heck, haha.

At Kinkos, a nice girl was kind enough to 'trial and error' the image until we finally got it, (well almost but good enough), and then the manager took a look, and said he can't print me one cause it'll be copyright infringement. So he was being anal about it until I talked him out of it.

It takes a lot of work just to switch the artwork on these sticks, especially since it was my first time. Next time will be much better. Plus I'm switching out that white button on the VSHG to blue, and make it the same as VF when they show your input (sweet...)

I got the files still if anyone wants them, just don't know how to upload them, send me a PM, and I'll give you what I got, maybe someone with better photoshop skills and make the art truly shine.

I'm bringing my sticks, so definitely you'll see at least one!
