Hey guys, apology to Jared for me and Ken I not being able to stay long enough for you. Good games in the begining though. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Lol I ended up playing Ken I for like a million matches with almost half the character select screen. Still always fun and a big thanks to Brian for letting us in. Next time I'll try and break away to play more with Brian and Talis.

Also boo to the dudes who said they were coming but didn't. Shoo, why would you host your own gathering last minute and not tell anyone? Sounds a little weird to me. Next time come out or at least tell us about your gathering.

On another note: I apologize to GoatCheese for not showing up on Thursday, I wanted to play you too man. I wish I knew what Alex (pheonix) is doing as I would like to play him too, I always learn alot from him. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I'm counting down the days until I can play VF5 again.

My goal is to get top 8 at Evo West damnit! I'm going into hard core training mode over the summer.

@Jared: Good to hear bro, can't wait till you're done with school.

Anyhow, it's come to my attention that some people are still playing VF4FT at Arcade Infinity. Now I know it makes no sense to go back and play FT with VF5 out and EVOLUTION going on, however if you still like going to AI altogether and don't mind playing/practicing VF in general than it won't hurt to at least organize your intentions.

So if you are going to AI and for whatever reason you are dissappointed cause no one is on VF4FT then PLEASE post up here first (preferably a day or so in notice) so people can know you will be there. I have heard that during 3S tournaments there are some casuals on VF4FT, you can check those dates on SRK.

Anyhow, back to training and VF'ing in general lol.

Next time, feel free to bring your group with you. We had two set-ups with a space for a third.

To the people that did make it - that was awesome. Dan, no worries about hanging with Ken most of the time in regards to playing against, say, me. We get lots of chances (Thursdays kick ass). I wanted to get in as many matches with Brian and Jared as I could.

Noo, im never like that, im always committed to my events

    it wont happen again

well in an earlier post i read it was an apartment, and i didn't want to bring in extra people.

I dunno it just would've seemed a little rude /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

    1) it has already happened twice
    2) my apartment has held up to 12 people at one time with 4 setups
    3) rude is where people expect you to come and you dont give us a heads up that you are not coming

Bottom line is that we still had a great gathering without you and whenever you decide to show up you will be welcomed.

of course with less VF tips from us...jk /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

    Hey! Let's play VF5!

My house is open this Thursday night from 7:00 pm to midnight. All are welcome.

To the new players in O.C. and L.A. - yes, the drive is a little long, especially with traffic. It is perfectly fine to, say, eat dinner, wait for traffic to die down a hair, and then come here. Myself and other regular players are looking forward to seeing/meeting you.

Address and directions can be found in the first post of this thread.

    Re: SoCal VF5 in 2007

Greetings all, newbie to the VF5 (as in I haven't even touched the game yet) series here, mainly a Tekken player at the moment but I plan on picking up VF and appreciate any and all advice, suggestions, help, etc and shenanigans. Likewise I'd be happy to share whatever strategic advice I have for those interested in picking up Tekken.

Currently attending UCR, so I'm at Riverside during the weekdays, sometimes on the weekends.
During summer break I'll be in Hacienda Heights, usually at Super Arcade.

Regarding the first post in this thread about AI, my bro-in-law's somewhat distant relative owns the place. So perhaps I can get him to work something out. Not too likely, but worth trying.
