i'm actually surprised somebody remembers me. but anyways just wanted to say hello, and i wish i could be there. a funny thing happened over a year ago, i joined the marines. now i'm stuck in okinawa japan for 2 years. i know for sure they have 2 vf5 machines here. one in club sega and the other at dragon's palace. i've only played a couple of good players, which sucks, but oh well.

like i said, i just wanted to say hello and hopefully the vf community in cali grows bigger with vf5, when i eventually come back. ooh-rah and semper fidelis.

I know of Nocturnal. I've seen him at Evo the past 2 years. He especially plays Garou and runs tourneys for it.

Brian (Brisal73) posted in SRK about the tourney in the Tournament section, I believe that is how Nocturnal heard about it.

BTW Brian, I noticed you posted the March tourney info in Atlantic East but you should also post up info on the gatherings on the Pacific South: Discussion & Matchmaking threads on SRK.

There is even an AI thread there which all you SoCal people might want to check out. Located here .

One personal friend now added to the list

Ok the day is almost here (little less than a month)

Went shopping today. I shoud have plenty of chairs, food, and drinks.

Setup will be as follows:
1 65 inch hdtv
4 20 in monitors
With possiblity of two more TV's being added
1 tv for Free Play on any other game I have. (SamShow Tenka, KOF X1, NEO BATTLE, 3rd Strike, and 360 games etc)

1 PS2 and 1 360 (for free play)
2 PS3 systems
4 Joysticks
2 games

So with a body count of over 10 we need some kind Socal players to bring some more Ps3's, games, and joysticks.

Please let me know what you are willing to bring so I have an idea what to expect. This is turning into something HUGE and I guarantee some great fun.

would love to go but im gonna be in vegas for Pride FC that weekend. I'm down to get together to play with anyone in the LA area before or after though

Actually, eff what I said in the SoCal thread. I just remembered that I'll be out in LA that night for a show, so once that lets out, I can swing by. I'll PM you shortly about some stuffs and what not.

QUESTIONS to everyone and PLEASE answer ASAP!!!

Who will be able to bring there PS3 sticks to this event?

With the delay in VHGS sticks should we reschedule this gathering?

Who has the HRAP3 or FSP sticks? and can you bring it to the event?

I dont want to reschedule this event but if we cant get enough sticks, systems, or games, then this might have to happen.

Man, I wish I could go! Wow, I haven't posted here in ages. hehehe. Sounds like SoCal has a bunch of awesome setups. I remember all those long battles at Plague's place. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Eric, not sure if you remember me, but check your PM! Don't go to Club Sega or Dragon Palace. They suck. Hit High Tech Sega! It's only 5 min drive away!

Hmm... Does anyone else play 3rd Strike besides me? That'd be cool to get some games in. And do you have it, or would you need someone to bring it?

Id like to also mention AI owner is pretty much hard at work trying to get a VF5 setup at the arcade. He already got some hori 3's stocked in. I also want to change days out of weds.

The majority of the play will be for VF5, but for a change a pace you can play other games like 3rd strike and other games. I have a Japanese PS2 You just need to have a free tv and bring ur PS2 joysticks for it. Socal VF does play other games besides VF

Looks like I will be able to bring a full set-up + three additional Dell Monitors with sound. Note: I have HDMI to DVI cables for all the monitors I'm bringing. People bringing PS3s need to bring the composite cables that came with them if they want to use these monitors
